I love them. They are pretty much maintenance free. I did not seal mine I just use butcher block conditioner on them about every 4 to 5 months. It is also sold at Home Depot and Lowes. It is a conditioner you apply and let it soak into the counter tops. I usually do mine at night before going to bed. Let it sit over night and then in the morning anything that has not absorbed into the wood I wipe off with a paper towel. This conditions the wood and keeps it looking pretty. This way too if you want to do food prep on them you can. I do not but you could. If you seal them with a sealer you definitely cannot do food prep on them. I like the more natural look of the wood without sealing them. They do look great in a cottage or older style home. They are easy to install too. My husband installed them and cut the hole for my sink. That is also a plus over having granite you can install these yourself. You can put hot things on them too without worry. Hope that helps.
xoxo
KrisJunkchiccottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13312068546640480844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3145927977814106970.post-24585896012172070882018-01-05T02:01:32.274-06:002018-01-05T02:01:32.274-06:00Your kitchen is absolutely precious! Amazing how you have placed your stamp on the layout of your eat in kitchenette area and I am totally taken with the floating kitchen piece. The armoire is exactly what I would have done, not only the best atmospheric piece, but also added to more of the cottage experience in pieces used unexpently, sigh !!
