A big hug and a thank you.  In my first year of blogging I have become friends with some of the sweetest bloggers.  Today when I got the mail (which sometimes is the highlight of my day!!!) my mailman Jim said "I have a package for you". Woooooo Hoooooo love when I get something besides sale flyers and bills in the mail.

This lovely package was from Debra at Commonground. http://www.commonground-do.com/
She is the sweetest ever and I know a lot of you know her and how helpful and kind and talented she is. She is one of those special bloggers in blog land.  Even though I have never met her in real life I just feel like I have known her forever. She is truly an angel.

When she featured my vintage bike( the one in my header) many months ago on her blog I was so new to blog land I did not even know how to do a link back and she was so patient and kind and told me how to do it and did not make me feel like an idiot. Which I felt like many times in the beginning of starting up my blog as I was trying to learn and navigate blog land.

You know there are no classes on starting up a blog or places to go to figure things out on a blog you just kind of learn as you go along.  Sometimes a sweet veteran blogger like Debra comes to your rescue.

Debra sent me this beautiful necklace today and I had to show it to all of you. Debra not only has a beautiful blog but she also sells her one of a kind vintage jewelry pieces on Etsy.  http://www.debrasvintagedesign.etsy.com/

Thank you Debra for this kind gift I received today.  It made my day.  I am going junking tomorrow to the flea market and I will wear it with pride and hopefully it will bring me luck to find some treasures.  Debra I am so glad I met you in blog land you really are one of the sweetest out there.  Thank you I am blessed to call you friend.  Hugs!!

Debra uses vintage keys with some bling added and vintage little jewelry charms to embellish.  So so pretty. My camera does not do this pretty bling justice.

Look at the vintage clock face and cross and pretty heart charm.

Debra added some rhinestone bling on the key. So pretty.

I have to say right in the middle of my day I get this sweet surprise.   This necklace also reflects Debra, she is kind, talented and spiritual and this necklace reflects those beautiful parts of her and her life.  Thank you Debra I truly love this necklace.  Please check out Debra's blog if you have not yet (I can't believe anyone out there does not know Debra's blog!!!!) and her Etsy shop. She has a lot of really cute  one of a kind necklaces.

Chippy Goodness!!!!!
I went to my one of my favorite shops yesterday Tattered Tiques and I found this sweet little bundle of chippy goodness. You know how I have a love affair with old chippy doors and this one was love at first sight. :) :) :)

This old door needed to come home with me.  I have not figured out what I will do with her yet or where she will end up but I had to have her.  So into my car she went.

I love that she had all her parts still attached!!! Look at the chippy door knob and key hole.  It has the identical knob and key hole on the other side of the door.  This door is chippy on both sides and in all the right places.  This was a great treasure. Now to find a good place for her in my home.  I may have to have the hubby build me a new wall when he comes home since I am running out of wall space!!!! Ha Ha!!!  He will love that!!!
Kane County Flea Market tomorrow.  Wooooo Hooooo hopefully more Chippy Treasures to bring home!  I think with the weather finally decent here in Chicago land I am hoping some of my favorite vendors will be at the flea this month.
Have a great week end.

Great little nest and eggs made into an old zinc mason jar lid and then she added the spring bird and cute handle and a little bling to the ribbon. Becky also sent me an extra little bird that says Joy.  I love that Becky uses cute little touches to make her stuff so unique.

My little angel is lovin the spring bird nest too!!!

Anyway I thought I would share some pictures of my garden from last year.  It just made me excited to look at last years pictures and feel good that maybe just maybe we might get to spring and summer here soon!!!!!!

Just like in my house I love to put architectural  pieces in my garden scapes too.

While my mom was in from Florida to spend Easter with us we were able to get out and go to Morris.  This town is a great town with cute shops and a great little tea room for lunch. If you live in the Chicago area and have not been to Morris you should really go.  You will love it.  It is old and small and very quaint and my favorite shop Vintage is there!!   I finally remembered to take my camera and get some pictures.  I am usually so distracted with wanting to shop to remember to take pictures.

First Stop on the shopping  trip is Ruby Begonia's. Love this shop. Lot's of vintage goodies and cute vintage clothes.

Don't you love her red front door.

Look at the chippy old office door so much chippy goodness in this shop.

Loved all her Easter vignettes throughout the store.

So much vintage cuteness.

My mom and my friend Sandy as we are getting ready to go into Traci's shop Whimsy.

Lot's of great treasures in this shop.

Next was The Feathered Nest. Very cute shop.

This little beauty was calling to me with it's shabby cute slipcover and how comfy it was to sit in.  I am thinking about going back to get this one.

One of the Lovely shop owners of The Feathered Nest and the wonderful seamstress that sewed that beautiful slipcover for the chair that I think I may need!!!!!https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Feathered-Nest/

Ahhhhh My fav shop.  Oh la la some great things always in side this shop.

It is hard to see her cute windows with my pictures but trust me they were so adorable all Lacey and chippy and vintage.

Old vintage bike in the window.  You know how I love vintage bikes.

More of the vintage doilie tops. I had to get one.

Some really fun ruffled aprons.

The cottage room one of my favorite. Always find chippy whites in here.

Then finally to the Letty Mae's tea room for our yummy lunch.

Our cute little waitress so sweet and fun.  Well just thought I would share a fun day I had with my mom while she was in for Easter and my friend Sandy that was on her Spring break this week.  Hope you all had a great Easter.  The day we went to Morris the sun was shining and it was 54 degrees we loved it.  My poor mom was dreading our weather when she came up from Florida but she even said it was a great weather day to walk around this cute town.
