Hello Sweet Blogging Friends.
Here is the living room pictures. The room finally feels done. I am sure I will still be tweaking things but for the most part it is done. Yeah!!!!
Looking into the room from the front door. |
Now I have this back wall to put the mantel on it and keep the path way open by putting the sectional facing into the room. |
It just keeps a better flow through the room from the front door. |
My design assistant Buddy agrees and likes that the sectional is under the front window to keep watch over the neighborhood. |
I painted the front door a light gray to break up all the white. |
It was chilly but I loved having the front door open and sunshine coming into the entry way. |
My bunny wreath is on the front door in hopes of Spring and Easter to be here soon. |
Oh how I wish I could capture this room with good light and better camera.
These pictures do not do this room justice.
Take my word for it. The room is bright, warm and cozy now. Buddy and I hang out a lot on the new sectional.

Kris, it looks amazing. It all fits perfectly and looks so fresh and cozy. The mantle looks like it was built with the house...but Buddy peeking over the couch is the best. Ha! I love that face. xo
ReplyDeleteOh it looks fabulous. I love how it turned out.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to sit on that new sofa!!!! lol It looks great- I think the room looks a LOT bigger now. Wow-Kris- GREAT setup. xo Diana

That looks super cozy and cute! I so want a sectional instead of my sofa but that's the long term plan so I'll just enjoy your perfect space in the meantime! xoxox
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful Kris, you are incredibly talented, I love everything you do!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, Kris!! I didn't realize the sectional had a curved back. And that fireplace fits just perfectly; Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe room looks great, Kris! I really like the sectional; I didn't know it had a curved back. I just assumed it would be sharply angled like most of them are.
ReplyDeleteKris, I think you can be so happy with all your choices. It all looks beautiful and for some reason looks bigger to me in the photos. I love it all and you did a great job, my friend. With Terry's and Buddy's help it turned out perfectly. Hope Terry is doing well..Happy Tuesday..xxoJudy
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! Maybe a small, shabby, slim sofa table behind the sectional to break up the line and decorate???
ReplyDeleteWOW.
ReplyDeleteKris, this is by far, the best configuration of this space yet. I have loved all of your ideas, attempts and designs, but this is the one. The addition of the mantle is absolutely PERFECT to tighten up the flow and it fits just perfectly.AND....Buddy is the cherry on the top, with his color, sweetness and companionship.PERFECTION!!!
Kris, I love it. When can you do mine. LOL. I think it is nice that you did paint the door a bit different. I really like the curtains on the big window, softens it. Fabulous young lady !! Blessings, xoxo, Susie

Such a beautiful look! And Buddy is such a sweet accent to the room. Good wishes to your familiy's health. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteKris everything is amazing. I didn't realize the sectional had a curved back either very pretty. I love the small chippy table. Buddy is so cute and can't get over how he blends.
ReplyDeleteYour front door looks cut with the bunny wreath.
Cindy
It all looks beautiful Kris. AWESOME! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI am all about cozy and this room certainly is that. Just beautiful...and Buddy is adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt looks very cozy!
ReplyDeleteKris, loving your cheerful, airy and charming living room! That mirror!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. I do have one question however. How do you secure the sign Blessed in front of the curtain rod like that I would imagine it has a little bit of weight to it?
ReplyDeleteHello,
DeleteTerry put hooks on the back of the sign that sits right on the rod so it is secure. It was easy peasy to do and it is pretty secure. Thanks for asking.
Have a great rest of the week.
Kris
Thank you Kris. I absolutely love your home.
DeleteI think you've captured it wonderfully. It looks really cozy and comfortable! Isn't it great when you can finally get a small room to come together? I had the same issue with the farm living room but finally! Love the sectional! It's perfect - I think Buddy agrees. 😊 Hope you get warm weather soon! We are in full bloom here. The bluebonnets are spectacular this year!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cecilia
Kris, this looks absolutely gorgeous!!! I love everything you've done with this space! I know it has been a labor of love and frustration, but it seems to have all fallen into place beautifully! I hope you and Terry are feeling better and that life is getting back to normal! Love and hugs to you sweet friend!
ReplyDeleteIt all looks totally fabulous Kris!
ReplyDeleteI think that your design assistant has been most helpful, and he looks very happy and at home there!
I like the sound of you and Buddy hanging out a lot, on the new sectional! You need to keep resting that foot. I am hoping that Terry is continuing to progress well, and that his pain is now under control. Enjoy your beautiful home and also the sunshine. Love and hugs, Gilly xx
Your place always looks so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYour room looks fantastic! Everything has fallen into place just beautifully! I'm glad it worked out the way you wanted. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt's very trying to take photos in small spaces, that I can tell you. That Buddy is so photogenic!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Well this looks fabulous! Love how it all came together. Buddy is a cutie and blends right in this room!
ReplyDeleteKris,
ReplyDeleteEverything turned out so beautifully!
The room is gorgeous and I am sure the photos do not do it justice!!! So glad you are happy with your new sofa!
ReplyDeleteLove it Kris! It does look bigger too! Wasn't your original intention to fix it so you could eat in that area? Now I can't remember!!! I can see sitting on the sofa watching TV there now. Are the curtains gray? Hard to tell.. but they look so pretty there too. I love all of the sweet signs and the mirrored door by the kitchen..... oh so pretty and cozy. I would love to see a "before" picture as has been such a process, that I forget what it originally looked like! I remember you did have two nice stuffed chairs there at one point. My poor living room has stayed the same since we moved here 3-1/2 years ago! I'm not one to change things up.. but love and enjoy watching you do it! Hugs.... Marilyn
ReplyDeleteHi Kris, you and Terry did an amazing job with everything. It's so nice to have such a handy hubby. I hope he is feeling better and resting. I hope you are not overdoing yourself to. You have a wonderful decorating style and make everything look homey and beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is an amazing room. When it is right it is so right. Magical.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear from your previous post that everyone is on the mend.
Prayers for spring to arrive soon in you neck of the country. It is still holding out for us too here in Cali. What beautiful flowers we will have in may though.
So many beautiful touches! The flowers, the architectural pieces. It looks more like you now! Love all the bright white of course. Small rooms are such a challenge. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteIt looks gorgeous, Kris!! You really do have the magic touch, my friend!
ReplyDeleteI think you finally solved your layout issues. Sometimes a smaller space just can't be used for everything, no matter how we juggle it. Love all your pieces and this looks like it will be comfortable to live with and enjoy. LOVE all the light coming in your room enhancing all your white furnishings. Hugs, it's done!
ReplyDeleteIt looks fairy!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs
It looks great, Kris! Good choice on that curved sectional.
ReplyDeleteIt all looks so lovely and I can never get past the fact that Buddy blends perfectly with your decor haha! So I have to ask, the door propped by the door way. Is it propped or anchored? LOL - I just know one of us would stumble into it in the night and it would come crashing down!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this looks heavenly! I can't get over how beautiful it all looks! I love the sectional and it is perfect in that space. Course all of your little extra special touches make it! I love the hanging bag full of posies! And look at Buddy! He is so sweet and just coordinates nicely with it all! LOL! You did an amazing job Kris! Now relax and enjoy. Hoping we both get the warmth we want soon! Happy weekend! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteIt’s a compete and total fairytale room! I wonder who likes it more...you or buddy? ;)
ReplyDeletexxx
Everything looks wonderful and you have put the JCC touch on it all.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love that door with the mirror.
BUT, are you taking it easy with your foot?
I just love it Kris, it is so beautiful. I LOVE the bunny wreath, did you make it?
ReplyDeleteKris, it is so right now! You knew it in your bones when it just wasn't exactly right, even when the rest of us thought the small dining room in corner was fine. But you but the bullet and kept on until it was the perfect arrangement. And now it just looks so natural. And naturally, Buddy's view out the window had to be taken into consideration! Beautiful room, Kris!
ReplyDeleteI just love it. I love how the mantel came out. It's so cute. What a great find. I love the sectional.
