It has been replaced with new decor. My garden hats and a white tobacco basket filled with flowers and vines.
How about you are you beginning to take down your Christmas and replace it with new things?
It seems so stark when you take down the pretty twinkle of the Christmas lights. It is always a challenge to figure out what decor to replace in those areas.
I will have my new after Christmas mantel to show you soon and a new treasure found over the holidays.
Have a great start to the new year. Let's hope for a better 2022. xoxo Kris |
That's such a gorgeous window! I just love the hats; so pretty for January. I'm doing neutrals after Christmas, but I'm already missing the twinkle lights! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love it, Kris! It's so you and so pretty. We are taking Christmas down a little at a time, but I want to leave the tree up through Epiphany. I like the lights!
ReplyDeleteI love your new window display! My Christmas decor came down the day after Christmas.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Kris. I can't part with my lights, and I will lag with some red---sprinkled across the home. And, curate as I put away---I think of it as, Merry Winter!! LOL...hope you had lovely holidays! Sandi
ReplyDeleteKris, I love the hats…perfect for winter. I always miss the twinkling lights. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI've taken down all my Christmas decor but I left up fairy lights in the living room and around the window in the kitchen. January and Feb are so stark, I love the glow of the lights! Your window is very pretty.
ReplyDeleteHi Kris! Your window looks great - a perfect after Christmas look. I should be done taking our Christmas decor down tomorrow. Sad to see it go, but I am also ready for a decor refresh! Jane
ReplyDeleteIt looks so fresh, Kris! That's what I've been craving lately. My Christmas decor is down except for the trees. I'm waiting until all hands are on deck to help me dismantle them. It's supposed to snow tomorrow so they still look ok, but I'm all ready and waiting for summer...just 170 days to go!! xxoo
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year my friend.
ReplyDeleteWe enjoyed a lovely weekend with the boys. Catie was not able to make it this year because of her work schedule. I missed seeing her.
We will take our Christmas down next weekend, January 8 and 9th. It is hard to pack it away. I will leave some twinkle lights out to cheer up the dark cold nights.
Your french window and decor is so pretty thruout the different seasons. All of our Christmas decor has been packed away until next year. I too will miss all the sparkle of the holiday.....
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

Since we were out of town for Christmas I didn't put up a lot of Christmas decor, but I did put up our smaller tree and that I am not taking down for awhile. We love it at night, so it'll stay up a bit longer. Happy New Year to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteGood morning dear Kris! I was just thinking of you this morning and here you are, with a new post.
ReplyDeleteWell, I had a few things up for the holidays amidst the wreck of my house due to the renovation. I took things down immediately the day after Christmas but I do have some twinkle lights up. Yes my friend, let's hope for a better year.
Love that window and how you can decorate it for the seasons, Kris. My Christmas is all put away, but I have another problem besides the absence of Christmas decor. I didn't have the chance to even decorate because we had just moved into our house, so I have many walls that are just bare. I'm at a standstill until I get inspired by something. It hasn't happened yet, so some walls will remain white space until then.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Kris! Yes, cheers to a better year ahead!
ReplyDeleteLove those hats! You always decorate so beautifully. Kris, I have not even begun to take down and put away my Christmas yet. I so hate seeing my lights go! I agree with you about it being hard to figure out what to replace things with. I want, desire, to do a little decorating in my LR especially but my time right now isn't on my side. I am sure what I had up before will go back up until I have the time to figure out what I want. I hope that you have a most wonderful New Year Kris. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteI've started to take down the Christmas decor, and am decorating now with a more neutral winter theme: pine cones, greenery. I will take the ornaments off the tree, but I'm seriously considering leaving the tree with just the lights on it through these winter months. I love the soft lights in the living room, and feel it makes the room very cozy at night. It's so bitterly cold here that I need to bring in as much warmth and cozy as I can. Love your window and the hats, and tobacco basket with floral. So pretty. So you. Happy New Year, my friend! Hugs.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Nancy! I'm leaving my tree up for another month or so! Love the lights at night and will add some "winter" themed ornaments since I didn't put many on this year. Marilyn
DeleteI love that window! Yes, all my Christmas things got put away yesterday. I left the greenery up that looks wintery though. Now I just need to figure out what to replace Christmas with so things don't feel so bare. I think twinkle lights are perhaps a good thing year 'round. A very happy New Year to you!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous window. Happy New Year
ReplyDeleteI’m slowly taking Christmas down too. Yesterday I took the lighted swags off the windows with sadness. The lights make me smile seeing them every evening. Now everything looks bear and dark and blah. Can’t wait for spring. Here’s hoping 2022 brings a better year.
ReplyDeleteMorning Kris,
ReplyDeleteLoved how you styled your window, looks so pretty. We haven't taken anything down yet, and not sure when we will.........whenever the mood hits..lol
Hope you had a lovely New Years eve and will have a wonderful New Year.
Blessings, Nellie
Such a pretty window and you decorate it so beautifully. Our Christmas is all packed away. The house seems empty. I am staying busy cleaning, scrubbing grout, etc. Happy New year Kris. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love that vintage window! I'd love to find one for my apartment.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
I have now started to take down my Christmas decorations Kris. I seemed to put up more this year, and confess to having bought quite a few new pieces. I love how you have used your hats and basket, with the flowers and vines. So very pretty! I look forward to seeing your new treasures. Wishing you a Happy and healthy and peaceful and safe New Year! Lets hope that it will be a much better one for us all, Gilly
ReplyDeleteI like the way you decorated the window with those hats. I have down my decorations and tree and I'm going to miss it. Wishing you a happy new year.
ReplyDeleteYour French window makes me hope for spring. The hats are adorable. May have to look around for a window to decorate. xoxo
ReplyDeleteLove the spring look of your window. Speaking of spring, I am ready. xo Laura
ReplyDeleteI love the beautiful French window, you've decorated it so beautifuilly! It is always a bit sad to take down the Christmas decor, but I look at it as a way to change things up and rearrange a bit. Always have fun doing that. And I keep twinkly lights up until the time changes in the spring, they just add a special ambience to the days!
ReplyDeleteLove the new window display!! Hope you had great holidays!

Its so fun to decorate for Christmas and then so nice to remove it..for me..little by little...to calm it all down for the Winter solitude. I have kept one pastel-decorated tree up and some other decor as we are getting together not this weekend..but the next..to have our Family Christmas Eve celebration with gift exchange. We were unable to celebrate due to sickness with my daughter and all the grands..blessedly..they did not have "C" but were very sick. We are delaying further so our other little granddaughter who comes everyother week to her Dad's can attend our party. :0) Its ok...will give the kids an extra oomp to make it through the Winter. :0) .... Enjoy your beautiful decor and get through the Winter. Thanks for your Blog. Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteYour décor is a breath of fresh air!! How beautiful!
