It came out perfect. The pictures do not do it justice. I was having a dinner party with friends when I took this picture. That is why my table is all set for dinner.
If you are wondering what I did with the salvage mirror the wreath was hanging on I will have that in my next post.
I cannot wait for spring. I am so over winter. I told Terry I need to live someplace I can wear my shorts and flip flops year round. I wish he could make that happen with his handy tools lol!
Have a great new week. Old Man Winter is back for us in Illinois. That little tease of spring we had last week was just that, a tease. It is amazing how we can go from 70 degrees in Illinois to 26 in a matter of a day. Crazy!! Hugs, Kris |
Well that looks beautiful! The door has circulated and has returned. It was meant to be in your home and how lucky are you to find such a creative way to display it. Congratulations to both of you for imagining it and installing the frame.
ReplyDeleteYour visions are fantastic and Terry is the icing on the cake!! Margy in KY
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! That is absolutely stunning! I love that you were able to buy that beautiful door back (what a journey it’s had!) and have Terry make it over in your vision for it. Talk about a statement! Yay for a man with tools and who knows how to use them. He’s a keeper even if those tools can’t fashion you warm weather, lol.

That looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteOh my word, Kris, what a wonderful focal point it is in your dining room now, and what a story on the traveling mirror/doorframe and how it came back to you. You and Terry make such a great team in your visions and how he knows how to recreate them. I’m always in awe. Have a beautiful week! 😘
ReplyDeleteKris, your re-loved vintage frame looks fabulous in your dining room. A perfect fit. Terry is a master of making your visions come to life. Such a great team you both are. That piece has certainly made the rounds and has finally come home where it belongs. XO
ReplyDeleteYour window is beautiful now. Wow, this frame looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteSummer in Illinois is probably really nice though. Further south the heat is .... HOT.
Maybe you need a little place further south for the winter! So many of my new neighbors have a winter place.
Have a fun new week.
Kris, this is one of my favorites that you and Terry have done. (have I said that before) Hee Hee!
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant, it is perfect. I just LOVE IT!!!
Well done my dear friend.
Love, Carla
Terry is definitely a keeper. What a super cool project! It really draws attention to your windows. I can't wait to do a few fun projects once the workmen leave.

ReplyDeleteKris!! That is a jaw dropper. I think it's gorgeous and I can't imagine how it could look any better than it does in the photos. Wow. Now I want one...and yes, if Terry figures out how to send us to warmer climates (snow free please) send us the DIY!! 😉 xoxo
ReplyDeleteKris, I love how you wound up with the door frame again. This time it looks wonderful in your window. I love your creative ideas and how Terry does the work you want done. It's so nice to have a handy husband. You save so much money!!! :) Enjoy the weekend Kris.
