New Wallpaper and Hopping into Spring

Happy Friday everyone.
This is a post to say Hi and to show a little more spring decor that I am adding around the house.
Just feels good to be thinking about spring, nice weather and all kinds of life coming back.
After a long cold and many dark days of winter.  Working with some spring around the house makes my heart smile.
We have a few more months before we are hopefully seeing only Spring weather.

A friend gifted me this sweet little bunny platter.  I added it to my buffet Spring/Easter decor.

The bird candle when lit smells like Spring rain.  Very fresh.  I love my sweet little pot belly rabbit.

I finally found a wallpaper I like.  Of course it is hard to capture the colors.  It is light creamy gray background with beige roses.
The background is more cream than gray.

It looks good on the wall behind the new storage cabinet.  I am still working on ideas for this solid cream cabinet.  I hung a floral display on the door for now.   I do want to do a little somethin somethin  to this cabinet to give it a little character.  It just feels so blah to me and needs to have some personality and character.
When I figure that out I will share that with all of you.

I hung my salvage piece with my wreath with the new wallpaper behind it.

Once I get more decor up on the wallpapered walls I will do a post on all the walls with wallpaper and decor.

How about you are you itching for Spring and getting some Spring decor going in your house.

I know a lot of you out in California and down south are having Spring already.  Here in Illinois we have to get through the rest of March and April to hopefully have spring here to stay.

In the meantime I am brighting up my house with putting inside decor up for Spring and Easter.

Have a great weekend.
We have had the wackiest weather.  Winter then Spring storms with hail, a horrible tornado south of us and then snow again.  So crazy.  I think Mother Nature has been dipping into the wine!!!!  She does not know what she wants to do.

Hugs,
Kris

  1. LOVE the wallpaper. I am thinking of doing my powder room but haven't had the time to look at paper yet. That armoire is just such a gorgeous piece. With the curves in the doors it really doesn't look too plain to me. That being said, whatever you add to things always looks like it belonged there to begin with so it will be interesting to see if you find something to dress it up.
I am soooo ready for Spring and dreading this big storm we have coming. They are predicting winds at 50 MPH and I just pray we don't lose power. I worry about some of the older people in our little community. Hugs- Diana

  3. March and April can be really moody! False Spring! angry cold and windy back to winter. The wind is the most annoying. Why do we not get wind in summer? That is a question we will ask in a few months. Right now? A muddy mess.
I love your wall paper, it is really pretty. I love your chubby bunny too.
Everything looks sweet, it is a good thing to look at as the rain turns back to snow and that wind!!!!
    Happy Week-end!!!

  4. Kris, the wallpaper is lovely. Your spring decor just pops. It’s good to see some color. I know your winter has been so cold and dreary. Your armoire is so beautiful, love the style of it, I am sure in time, you will figure out something to dress it up. Enjoy your spring decor inside and happy weekend. Hugs

  5. I love the new wallpaper Kris and you have clearly been having fun adding your Spring decor around. We are fed up with the wet winter here and have at least had some lovely sunny days - still chilly, but so much better for the soul! Gilly (UK)

  6. Really pretty wallpaper, Kris. I also love the apricot colored roses on that tray with the carrots and bunnies. We're back to winter this weekend and into the start of new week. Dreading it.....I need to cover plants that are blooming or near blooming.

  8. Love your new wallpaper and the armoire! Just gorgeous! It's in the 80s here today and we are suppose to have below freezing temps by noon on Sunday! CRAZY WEATHER. I am so ready for Spring to get here and stay. LOL. I looked at some beautiful hanging ferns today but didn't get because of the next few days going to have hard freezes. Girls are out on Spring break this next week so I'm sure we will have some wild adventures!! Have a great week. Judy Clark

  9. Kris, I love all the new spring touches around your home. It does lift our spirits to see bits of spring. The new wallpaper is perfect! We are suppose to have possible tornadoes on Sunday night and then it will be in low 20’s for a couple of nights. My blooming trees will suffer among other trees and shrubs that are budding. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

  10. Everything looks so pretty …love that wallpaper. I’m confident you’ll find the perfect solution for the armoire. You always have wonderful ideas. As for the weather, we are way to warm…they are predicting near 90 the end of the week after near freezing on Monday. What?!? I’m with you, Mother Nature has been dipping into the wine! I’ll send you the heatwave, ok? Lol. Hope Springs shows up for you sooner rather than later! Stay warm!
    Hugs, Cecilia

  11. Kris, that wallpaper is so pretty and looks so soft and I like it with the armoire. I can't wait to see how the rest of the wallpaper looks. Your spring/easter decorations are so nice and a reminder that spring is on the way.
We have cold and dreary weather and I'm hoping that April weather will start to warm up.
Take care and have a wonderful week.

  13. Ha, I love what you said, Mother Nature dipping into the wine.... for sure!!!
I set out our patio furniture, because it had been so nice. We have a south facing deck and I can soak up some sun after my morning walk with Ernie. Ha, now it is under 15 inches of snow.
    I love the wallpaper.
I also love the color of the roses in your spring display.
    Love, Carla

  14. Oh Kris, your new wallpaper is so soothing and so beautiful. I love all your spring decor inside. I’m sure it does lift your spirits. We had temperatures dip down into the 30’s overnight. I had my A/C on yesterday and had to turn the heat on. The wind is unbelievable. Mother Nature needs to lay off the wine! Thank for sharing all your lovely changes. xo

  15. Love, love, love the new wallpaper! It's just perfect and it looks wonderful with all your spring bunnies peppered about the house. I love that hugging pair and your potbelly friend. Hopefully, all those bunnies and flowers will tell winter it's time to go away and let spring have her turn...I'm so over the cold!! xxoo
