Good Friday sweet friends.
It has been unbelievably hot here all week in Illinois. Today some rain and then a cool down. We are instore for a nice weekend. I am so happy to hear that since I am having some girlfriends over for Al Fresco dining out on the deck tomorrow night.
I am serving Pan fried chicken thighs in a garlic butter lemon sauce with carrots, brussel sprouts and roasted potatoes. A summer side salad. Making a Charcuterie board of cheese, crackers and meats for an appetizer and I found a homemade Sangria recipe made with Moscato wine and fresh fruit on Pinterest.
I wanted to share with you a sweet little take home gift I made for each girl tomorrow. I found out that Aldi sells some of the best wines and at very low prices. One that was voted one of the best summer wines is their Pink Moscato. It comes in a cute bottle and has a black and white top. I found these super cute wine tags that I thought would look so cute on each bottle.

Hugs, Kris PS: Thank you for all your kind thoughts and prayers for my mom. She had a procedure to put a catheter into her lung yesterday. It went well and they were able to drain off all the fluid in her lung. She is doing so much better. As fluid will build again from the cancer the catheter can be drained. This is going to help with her quality of life. You're all angels and I thank you.  |

ReplyDeleteI love the tags with their sweet sentiment. Glad your weather has cooled down...I think it's coming here as the next several days are going to be in upper 90's and 100's. Ugh. How did people stay cool before ac? Fortunately, we've had periods of less hot weather and it's almost Fall. I had to laugh at the weatherman last night - he said we had a cold front coming late next week and our temperatures would be in the lower 90's! Not exactly cold but will beat 100.

OMG...I love the wine and the tags....my friends would love this. I always love a little take home gift when I have people over. Your friends are SO luck to have you!

Looks like a cute party. I have always wondered about the Aldi wines..but have never tried them. Thanks for letting us know. :) ...The gift bags look great and menu sounds yummi with the chicken thighs.. So sorry about your Mom's illness and prayers for comfort for her and your Family, too.
