Kindness Matters And goes A Long Way.

Kindness Matters

Kindness Matters
💝

Thought I would take a minute to remind all of you that this is a great time to share Random Acts of Kindness.  Especially now with all that is going on in our country.

Let me start by sharing this quote from the Dalai Lama.

Compassionate kindness is the most precious thing there is.  It is something that only we human beings can develop.  And if we have a good heart, a warm heart, warm feelings, we will be happy and satisfied ourselves, and others will experience a friendly and peaceful atmosphere.

This is a beautiful quote.
I feel too that kindness is one of the most precious gifts we can share with one another.  It costs nothing and is readily available at anytime for us to share.

I  like to do random acts of kindness throughout the year.

Most of the time they cost nothing and come from the heart.

Sending a card to someone that will least expect it. Not a text but an actual card in the mail.  Wishing them a good day and telling them you were thinking about them is a small gesture for me but might be a big uplifting kindness to them .

Random Acts of Kindness give so much to someone else but it also comes back to give you so much more.

We all give of ourselves everyday in many ways.

We naturally share comfort and care when things arise in our lives,  but sharing kindness daily is good for the soul.

Kindness shared is the best gift you can give to others and yourself.

I hope after reading this you will find a spot in your day to share a smile, open a door, pay for the person behind you in the Starbucks line or Just smile and compliment someone on their outfit, nail color, hair do etc.
I am starting to put together my yearly random acts of kindness.  I plan on mailing some unexpected little gifts to people to share a little kindness that is unexpected. I send them anonymously so they don't know who sent it.  The joy I get is they receive something they were not expecting and they do not feel they have to return the kindness to me but will pay it forward to someone else.  That is the point to get someone to have someone else feel the joy they got when the gift arrived.

I am sharing a little gift that I will keep in my car and maybe when I go through the drive thru to get my Diet Coke I will give the person taking my order one.
Maybe in the grocery store I will take one in with me and share it with the cashier.
Sometimes surprising someone with a little act of love and kindness will make their day and also yours.

Little things can make a big difference in someone's day.

I filled these cute coffee to go cups with a Dunkin Donut gift card and some hot chocolates and tied them with ribbon.
A few cups had McDonald's gift card and Starbucks.  A little variety of coffee and soft drink choices.  Less than $10 you can make a sweet little kindness gift to give away.

We took a trip on the Polar Express this past weekend.  We had our own personal car on the train.  This train is from the 1930's and still runs today.  It took us on a fun trip to the North Pole where we picked Santa up.  We got to see his special reindeer.  Edmund loved the Choo Choo ride best of all.

What a fun way to kick off the holidays.  The grand kiddos loved every minute.
The train like in the story took us to the
North Pole to meet Santa.

We had hot chocolate, singing and dancing waiters to serve us and of course because we all believe received a special bell.  Lots of fun making sweet memories.

Have a great week.  Hugs.  Kris

  1. Hi Kris, Oh my, what a fun trip. My boys loved the Polar Express story.
Thank you for the ideas for the random act of kindness. I like the idea of surprising our cashier at the grocery store. :-)
    Love, Carla

  2. I do RAK year-round, too. Like you said, you can simply compliment someone in public - or smile and say hello as you pass by - doesn't have to cost anything! Right now, I've been donating to the local food pantries and shopping for Toys for Tots.
