I found this window film that is easy peasy to apply and lets light in but gives complete privacy.

I have these three side windows next to the front door. It is always hard to figure out how to cover them to give a little privacy. Then I found the window film to try.

No sunshine today to show how the light does come through still. I like that I can see out but no one can see in that is at my front door.
I found this on Amazon. You get a whole role for $5.99. It goes a long way. They have all kinds of designs and color choices. Since blinds or curtains were not the answer this film did the trick.
Have a good weekend. We are so bitter cold. Wind chills 40 plus below zero and our temp today is only 2 degrees. Dreaming of early Spring!!!!
Hugs,
Kris

That's a brilliant idea. I.love all your doors of the past.
ReplyDeleteWe are currently having freezing rain over very little snow accumulation overnight. Praying the electric stays on for these coming daya.
Each door beautiful!? How do u hang ur wreaths on the front door?
ReplyDeleteWreath hangers.
DeleteYour doors and windows look so pretty. It is always fun to look back at home projects. I love the new window treatment and have often thought about adding some to my dining room windows. Sometimes the hummingbirds crash into the windows, because of the reflection. These window clings might be the answer. Thank you Kris. XO
ReplyDeleteExcellent "exhibit" of all of your pretty doors! Each one is carefully done, so sweet, Kris.
ReplyDeleteI bought a lot of this film for our house over summer last year. just to get the bottom halves covered. It is excellent. I love this design you chose. Very sweet with the vines. I found something on Walmart.com, it is kind of a stained glass look with circles... It looks really nice. I love it really that I can remove it in a jif, and put something else up.
All of your doors are really special
That’s a very pretty solution, , Kris! Love it. Brrr, I’m freezing at 19° and you are way worse. Got lots of sleet last night and now it’s snowing. I’m not a winter weather gal!
ReplyDeleteStay warm,
Cecilia
What fun it was to see all your past door and porch decor, Kris. Your new solution is brilliant! It’s bitter cold here, too, and it’s hard to stay warm. I think it’s going to be this way for a while. 🥶❄️🥶 Stay warm, my friend. Sending hugs your way.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you decorated all of your doors and entry ways throughout the years. What a great idea for your front entry way to use that privacy cling and I love that pattern. It's a very cold winter for a lot of people all over the US. We are digging out of a lot snow. Enjoy the week and stay warm.
ReplyDeleteKris, what a great idea for privacy. Wow, what beautiful door decorations from the past. I enjoyed seeing each one. I hope you all are safe and warm. It is very cold here, but we only had rain yesterday in our area!
ReplyDeleteHi, I love the idea. Thank you for sharing. I looks classy, and I like that.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the tour back in the past. I loved seeing all the seasons, especially summer! ;-)
All good ideas, you can never be too careful about guarding against peeping toms and weirdos in the neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI guess I shouldn't complain about our 16 degrees this morning! That is so cold! I like the film you chose. It is so pretty, and it will be easy to keep clean compared to blinds and fabric. I also enjoyed seeing your pretty front door decor over the years.
ReplyDeleteYour front doors have all been so amazing, Kris. You have a knack when it comes to adding curb appeal. I just know that wherever you have lived, your home was the most charming one on the block! I love the idea of the film, too. I don't love your temps though...brrrr!! Stay warm!! xo
