Just a brief interruption to my post on the Junk Bonanza Trip!!
I was going back and forth this morning thinking should I run up to Grayslake Flea Market or stay home and get the millions of things done I need to today!!!! The hubby said let's take a ride so off we went.

I had no intention of finding anything especially anything big since I do not need anymore big things!!!! Well I found a few and being unprepared to buy big things we had to figure out how to get all the stuff home.  Thankfully one of the workers of the flea had a power screw driver to remove the legs on the table to fit it all into the car!!!! It was a Junk Score today.

Ha!!! How will be get all these chippy's home!!!! Legs on the table just  a wee bit too long!!!!

Gotta love a man that is resourceful and finds another man with a power tool!!!!!! Love my husband he can make it fit!!!!

Look at this sweet old door table for my garden this summer!!! SCORE!!! This one had to come home. Great price too it was a steal.  I think the women in the booth with this for sale did not want to load it back up to take home. So lucky me I got her to come home with me.

Look at those beautiful chippy legs and the robins egg blue color of the old door. Fab!!!!

I know a lot of you know sweet Jeanine from Chippy Shabby. She always has the best chippy treasures in her booth.  I got this great old window from her.  Look at the sweet pattern of the wood in the window. Too chippy and gorgeous to pass this one up.

Another treasure from Jeanine.  I can't wait to do something sweet with this old stair post.  So sweet of a piece.  Thanks Jeanine.  It is always fun to see her and take a few minutes to talk.  I can't wait to go to her home show the end of the month.  If you live near Cedarburg Wisconsin you need to come to her home sale.
I live outside Chicago in the North suburbs and she is about an hour north of me.  Just a little past Milwaukee.  It is the cutest town too.  Here is Jeanine's blog so you can see where she will be and about her home show if you live in the area.

Look at this sweet old picket fence shelves. Oh I can't wait to put cute garden things on this with some flowers.  That is if we ever get warm here!!!!  Not sure where all my treasures will end up but you will be seeing them again when summer comes and flowers oh flowers! hope they come soon!!!!
Well I am excited to leave on Wednesday for Junk Bonanza.  I hope to find more treasures there.

  11. Sounds like a really fun trip! I'm already looking forward to hearing all about it. Do I take it that the pic of the Morris Minor is just one you found on the internet? My husband and I have always loved the 'Moggie' Minor, and Paul even owned one from the same year as teh one in your pic.

Have a great time and drive safely

  14. I'm so glad I found your blog via Junk Bonanza! You and I post almost the same way with humor and fun. I am soooooo jealous you're going, I love that show. The vendors are so different and the prices are so good! Your first aid/ survival kit was so cute, mine is just in a big baggie. BUT, now that I have seen the error of my ways, my kit will look like yours! Down here in Texas at Round Top it's dust, dust and the heat we have to pack for. COme on down sometime, you'll love it. Glad I found you,xoxo-cindy
