Thank You

I would like to thank all of you that bought chair covers or made donations for Louie's Rescue.  I appreciate all of you for helping me help this wonderful Rescue.
You all have big and generous hearts.
I am grateful for your help.

This sweet guy is smiling across the Rainbow Bridge because you are helping the Rescue that saved him.

I am working on a few more house projects to hopefully have a post on soon.
Thanks for letting me interrupt my decor blog to ask for help.
Sooooo grateful and appreciative.
Happy Friday
Have a wonderful weekend.
xoxo

Fund Raiser

Hi Everyone.
Warning this is a very long post.  Grab a frosty beverage!!!!!

As many of you know we adopted a basset hound named Cooper from a wonderful Rescue that is located in Ohio.  He was only in our lives for a short time but oh how we loved him so.  I think he rescued us more than we rescued him.

This is Cooper the day we met him in Ohio.

He was such a great car rider which we were thankful for since it was a 6 hour drive home to Illinois from Ohio.
He was a sweet boy and we loved him so much.

May you rest in peace sweet Coop.  I do not think I will ever get over the loss of your sweetness and the love you gave to us.
If you want to read Cooper's story you can go here.

Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue

Louie’s Legacy Animal Rescue, Inc. is a non-profit and no kill animal rescue based in Cincinnati and Staten Island, New York. We are proudly foster based, meaning our animals live in homes, not shelters. This differentiates us and allows us to more thoroughly get to know our animals, ensuring they are matched with suitable, screened adoptive homes which meet our high standards.

Many of the animals they save have come from neglect or have been dropped off in kill shelters.  Louie's rescue tries really hard to rescue these precious fur angels before they are killed.

Cooper was going to be put down the day they went into the kill shelter to rescue him and a few others.  So sad to think Cooper was that close to losing his life in a kill shelter.

God works in mysterious ways and brought this guy into our lives at a time when our lives had been turned upside down.  Many of you know how hard our lives were a few years ago and how Cooper came to us at that time in our lives.

After adopting Cooper he was diagnosed with a rare cancer that was very aggressive.

The Vet said he probably would only have maybe weeks to a month to live.

I thought why would God bring this creature into our lives let us fall in love so deeply and then take him.  Let him finally have a great life of being loved and not neglected or mistreated.

God had a plan and it is too personal and long to go into but this sweet lug of love taught us so much in the short time we had him.

That brings me to this Fund Raiser post.  I want to raise some money for
Louie's Legacy.

They strictly work off of private donations so as much help as they can get the better.  They gave us an unbelievably beautiful gift when they let us adopt Cooper.

I want to give back.  I have these chair covers up for sale.  They are super cute and I think would make adorable chairs for campers, lake home owners and anyone that wants a cute fold up chair.

I always called these chairs "Soccer Mom" chairs lol!!!  These are those folding chairs mom's bring to the kids games to sit on.  They fold up in a bag and you can keep them in the car.

I have used mine at my granddaughters softball games and when we go up for the fire works or parades.

I have my seamstress friend, Karen Harmon sewing for me.  Karen is Lisa Harmon's mom.

Lisa Harmon as many of you know is from Fabric 8 Slipcovers.  Lisa has made my white couch and chair covers in the past.  Love her work and she introduced me to her mom some years ago to make my outdoor lounge chair covers.

Her mom is so talented.  I gave her my vision of making these "plain Jane soccer mom" chairs into something much cuter.

This is a typical fold up chairs that we have had for years.  They fold up and go into a bag for storage.  If you have one of these type chairs then you might be interested in the cute covers below.

These first few chair covers I am going to show you are not made by Karen but they were made by Anna and Nancy  two women that use to sell on Etsy.

Anna and Nancy now have a company called Fabrinique.  Their new business went in a totally different direction.  They do not make these chair covers anymore and I was able to buy what stock they had left for my fund raiser.  The nice thing about their covers are they fit right over any fold up chair you have.

I think these are great for all of you that camp or have glampers or even people with summer homes.

I think they are super cute for sports activities and sitting curb side at parades or even going up to watch the fire works.

So much more comfy to sit on your fold up chair than a blanket on the ground.

Here is the first set of covers.  I have two of these.  The pattern is nautical theme.  Royal blue with sale boats and the ruffles made of a burlap cover canvas.

They slide right over your existing chair.  They tie off in the back with a bow.

They tie at each corner of the chair to keep the cover in place.

Just a really cute pattern for your lake home or beach house or just for a fun summer chair cover.

I do have two of these to make a pair if you need more than one.  These are one of a kind and I cannot get anymore of these.
They will be sold separately but if you need two this pattern does have two available.

Next up is this cute yellow chair cover with a green and yellow and blue floral print for the ruffle and bow.  I did put this over my red white and blue chair so the arms show blue.  You can get these fold up chairs that are not expensive and maybe could find one with lighter color  for the arms.

Seriously super cute chair cover!  This would be great for a "glamper" friend or just for yourself.
I think these would make great gifts.

Next up is this pretty royal blue chair cover.

I think this one is so pretty.

Ok now for the fun designs that I came up with and had Karen sew for me.

I basically took off the covers from the chairs and sent one to Karen for a pattern.  Then I got the material and sent that to her.

The chair covers are a french word canvas and the ruffles are from washable cotton.  These are completely removable and washable.  No hot dryers!!!

The chair seats and back are all the same on the three made up but the arms and ruffles are different on each chair cover.

They have grommets to slip over the arms etc.   There are a few screws that have screwed the fabric in place on the back of the chair.  That can be used for more secure fit or not.

They fold up nicely.

They then slip right into this nice carry bag that comes with the chairs.

The bags have a toggle that tightens down the bag around the chairs.
This is the chair I purchased from Menards.  They are on sale for $7 dollars in the Menard's store.  I looked for the online site for you to order them but unfortunately they are sold out on line.

They make similar chairs to this one at Walmart,  Target, Lowes, Home Depot etc.  They are usually under $10 a chair.

If you can find this chair at your Menards then you will know the covers will fit perfectly.

I have tried them on my other chairs similar in size and they fit there too.

The chair covers with ties will go on any chair.
I have two of these sweet birds and yellow swirl ruffles and arm handles.

This is another french design with check and black and white birds and floral ruffles.

You can see the pattern up close.

These are the Fund Raiser Chair Covers.  The price per chair cover is $40 dollars and $10 dollars for shipping.

This really is a good cause so if you can help out with this fund raiser it would be so appreciated.

If you want the chair included I will have to find out the shipping cost for you.

I just feel if you have a Menard's or other stores that carries these chairs near you it would be better to just buy the chair on your own and then purchase the covers from me.

If I had to ship one of these chairs to you it probably would cost more to ship than buying one new. I am willing to do this if you really want the chair from me.

This is a great rescue agency.   If you feel you could use one of these chair covers or could use one for a gift for someone email me at kmvavra@comcast.net.

All the proceeds will go to Louie's Legacy.  I know the help will be so appreciated.

Thank you for supporting this great cause.

I want to say in the 8 years I have been blogging I have never advertised on my blog to sell you things.  I like to just share my decor inspiration with you.  My blog is not a money making blog, just a fun way to connect and share.
I am doing this one time only to help out a good cause.

Hugs,
Kris

Happy New Week.

Thank you all for all your sweet comments and prayers for my mom.  She is doing better each day after hip replacement surgery.
My mom could barely walk with her bad hip.  Now with the new replacement she should have a better quality of life.

I have a special post coming up in the next few days to share with all of you.
Have a great week.
Hugs,
Kris
