It goes so well with my decor and hides the TV. The pictures with the way the light comes in this room is hard to capture. There is more warmth in this room than the pictures lets on. |

One of the favorite things I love about this piece is you have to use the old Skelton key to open up the doors. |

The reason I am sharing this lovely picture from Pinterest is to show you a similar idea I have for my house. |

This chippy white bench is in one of my shops in Michigan. They are holding it for me. I am going to Michigan on Thursday and will pick it up. I am hoping I can re love it into the open space in the above picture. I will share when I get that all done. In the meantime have a wonderful week and Happy 4th of July a little early. Hugs, Kris |
The armoire looks great painted white! It is perfect hiding your TV! Happy 4th of July, Kris and Terry ❤️🤍💙
ReplyDeleteLove the white armoire! Surprise!!LOL. I know the new space will be gorgeous. I am now enjoying cool home. My ac went out, paid a fortune for a whole new heating/activate unit and two weeks later, my ac went out. I went 10 days without air with various techs coming trying to get it to work!! Finally last Thursday they ended up replacing the whole system with all new! Frustration deluxe. Have a great fourth. Judy Clark PS Oklahoma weather was in the 100s all that time.
ReplyDeleteKris you have a great eye...and more energy than anyone I know! The makeover is stunning and as someone who has skeleton key door knobs all over my house, I approve! Those details are so charming. Love that photo, too. Can't wait to see it come to life in your warm and charming home!! xo
ReplyDeleteWonderful wonderful...the white cabinet? Wow what a great job...was it difficult to paint? I love the lock + key! That bench you bought is going to be beautiful in your home too! And I love the Pinterest inspiration - your interpretation will be fabulous, I know.
ReplyDeleteYour armoire looks beautiful now - old pine doesn't do it for me either Kris! It's perfect for hiding the tv and those storage baskets are beautiful and could have been made for that space. Looking forward to seeing your new bench area when you have completed it. Happy 4th July to you and Terry. Gilly (UK)
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th Kris. Love the picture from Pinterest. Would love to see your area with the red, white and blue! The hutch is stunning too. I wish I could get the nerve to paint something white! I just don't know where to start or what combo of paint to use. Have a great week. Marilyn

ReplyDeleteyou painted it white?!! yes that is a surprise.
I like white furniture too.
You house looks fantastic. The toy boxes are a cute idea.
I have a linen closet down stairs that I hope to turn half of it into a grand girls cabinet. with the art supplies and toys. I have 6 grandies, you know, but I really only has two because of my estranged daughter... I told you that story right. It is a sad tale not worth sharing, but yes, I have two grand daughters now.
Tomorrow we are getting the van from Home Depot and moving our bed and the stuff we need for the move over,. It will be an interesting adventure, and perhaps a long day.
I hope you have a super Holiday week-end celebrating our great country, while we still have it.
The bench will be great addition to the family. Happy travels

ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July! The armoire turned out great. I think your pictures look quite good - maybe they don’t capture the light in the room perfectly but I think it’s gorgeous. Love that bench. Can’t wait to see it in place.

We went up to Hudsonville Found Cottage and then to Kalamazoo to the Vintage Garden House Market. I found the white bench at Vintage Garden House Market.
