Taking a Road Trip!!!!

Getting ready for our road trip to Junk Bonanza the Spring Show in Minnesota.  We had so much fun last fall.  When Ki Nassauer and her team said they were doing a Spring show we were excited.







My daughter Jen and her friend Cindy and my friend Sandy and I are heading out on Wednesday morning for our 7 hour trip to Minnesota.  Wooo Hooo girls just wanna have fun.

The ever so important snack basket.  This is a must in the car. Sweet and Salty and chocolate!!! No road trip is complete without the snack basket!!!!

I got my Junk Love sweatshirt I bought at Junk Bonanza. I think I may need this for the Spring show.  Still mighty cold up in Minnesota!!!!

I had my husband Terry pick out the name.  Doesn't he look all official in his fire chief uniform?!! I could not figure out the savvy number generator thingy so I just put all your names in the bowl and had Terry pick one.  It was either Him or Midge and Midge was over on my bike too busy complaining how cold it still is here in Chicago land and all she has to wear is her bikini!!!! Diva!!!

There she is on the bike shivering because she is cold in her bikini.  I know already!!!!!! I am so over this weather too.  We need to see some bikini weather!!!!

I just had a lovely evening out with a really great friend.  We got together to celebrate my up coming birthday next week.  We went to Cheesecake Factory and it was so yummy.  My friend Sandy wraps the best gifts her gifts are sometimes too pretty to want to open.  I took these pictures with my I phone so not the greatest but hopefully you can see the sweet wrapping.

Look at this cute basket.  It was stuffed with fun gardening things.  We both share a love of gardening so all the treats in here were great.

I know these pictures are terrible from my phone but believe me the packages were gorgeous.  I did not want to open them they were so pretty.  We had several people stop by our table and say how pretty they were.

I put the little garden basket full of goodies on my shelf under my chalk board.

Sandy got me a nice CD called Chamomile for relaxing.

Cute little chippy bird that holds a picture. My favorite farmhouse hand soap and the pretty sign on the basket. I loved all  the treats she had in this beautiful garden basket.
Sandy got me a beautiful sweater and a great necklace and a special new hose that shrinks up after you water with it.  I can't wait to try that out in the garden with all the watering I do.  It will be nice not to have to pull a lot of hose around the yard.

Well just thought I would share a little of my birthday evening with you.  It was a fun night out. Thank you Sandy for treating me to so many beautiful gifts.  Her gift of friendship is the best gift of all.  It was a great evening.

Happy Anniversary Happy Anniversary!!!!
Wow it has been a year since I started my blog!! Time really flies. I still feel like I just started this yesterday.  I want to thank all you wonderful and inspirational bloggers that have helped me and have given such beautiful inspiration.  I have meet some truly remarkable bloggers in this last year.

To celebrate my one year I teamed up with Sara at Magnolia Farms and asked her to create something special for me that I could give away to celebrate my one year anniversary.  Well my friends Sara came up with something so adorable and functional.   I can't wait to use mine at Farmer's Markets this summer.  Thank you very much Sara for your sweetness and your talent.  

   I love to garden and do the flea markets and french/farmer's market trips so this was a perfect pattern she came up with for a farmer's market bag.

It is a washable canvas and of course had Sara's signature ruffles.  It is a good size to fit all your farmer's market fruits and veggies. The length of the straps are pefect fit so your farmers market treats do not stick up under your arm. It is roomy and soft and so cute. Love it!!

Thank you Sara for creating such a beautiful tote. Dilemma!!!! I found that cute door and have run out of wall space in my little house so I need some help and your opinions! I put the door where I had the ladder and like it but not sure if I like it better than the ladder.  What do you think?????

Ok update I think I have found a perfect space for this door. 

I think I like the door in the back of my dining room leading out to the deck.  Now I can leave the ladder in the living room.

 These are a few pictures from the Kane County Flea Market yesterday.  It was a grey day no sun but  64 for the temp and very windy but so much better than snow!!!
