Today I was looking around my house and realized that I love to use old bird houses to decorate inside and outside of my home. So I thought I would share a few of them with you. Some of these beauties were someone else's trash and others were finds from flea markets and shops I frequent. I just love to use old worn treasures to decorate and find new purpose in my house. Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.

These little birdhouses were on stakes to go out in the garden and I thought they would be nicer to hang in my mudd room on the wall to hang our keys on.

I use birdhouses outside too in the garden.

Have a great week end.  Thanks for stopping by.

  4. Love your birdhouses. I am always awestruck by our sense of decorating with upcycled pieces, and the use of birdhouses within the upcycled is refreshing.

    Thank you.

  6. You have chosen the cutest little houses.. and altered them so nicely.. what type of paint have you used.? I am a BIG upcycle person too and have spent the past 2 days trying to decide if the paint I am using is the simplest..seems quite thin. Trying to unify my crafty space, and get a more co ordinating look!~! and I thought painting would be an easy fix on all the little storage, decor etc and I am giving 2nd & 3rd coats.
Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing your fun remakes.

  15. You are one of my favorite people!!! I love everything you do! I will be looking for those candles you bought at Brookstone. My daughter gave me a set of 3 like those, but they are a darker orange. I am still decorated for Thanksgiving, so still enjoying them. I can put mine on a 4 or 8 hr timer on the bottom of the candle! Genius! take care....looking forward to seeing more wonderful things you do!
