While my mom was in from Florida to spend Easter with us we were able to get out and go to Morris.  This town is a great town with cute shops and a great little tea room for lunch. If you live in the Chicago area and have not been to Morris you should really go.  You will love it.  It is old and small and very quaint and my favorite shop Vintage is there!!   I finally remembered to take my camera and get some pictures.  I am usually so distracted with wanting to shop to remember to take pictures.

First Stop on the shopping  trip is Ruby Begonia's. Love this shop. Lot's of vintage goodies and cute vintage clothes.

Don't you love her red front door.

Look at the chippy old office door so much chippy goodness in this shop.

Loved all her Easter vignettes throughout the store.

So much vintage cuteness.

My mom and my friend Sandy as we are getting ready to go into Traci's shop Whimsy.

Lot's of great treasures in this shop.

Next was The Feathered Nest. Very cute shop.

This little beauty was calling to me with it's shabby cute slipcover and how comfy it was to sit in.  I am thinking about going back to get this one.

One of the Lovely shop owners of The Feathered Nest and the wonderful seamstress that sewed that beautiful slipcover for the chair that I think I may need!!!!!https://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Feathered-Nest/

Ahhhhh My fav shop.  Oh la la some great things always in side this shop.

It is hard to see her cute windows with my pictures but trust me they were so adorable all Lacey and chippy and vintage.

Old vintage bike in the window.  You know how I love vintage bikes.

More of the vintage doilie tops. I had to get one.

Some really fun ruffled aprons.

The cottage room one of my favorite. Always find chippy whites in here.

Then finally to the Letty Mae's tea room for our yummy lunch.

Our cute little waitress so sweet and fun.  Well just thought I would share a fun day I had with my mom while she was in for Easter and my friend Sandy that was on her Spring break this week.  Hope you all had a great Easter.  The day we went to Morris the sun was shining and it was 54 degrees we loved it.  My poor mom was dreading our weather when she came up from Florida but she even said it was a great weather day to walk around this cute town.

  5. Oh- That looks like a fun town. It reminds me of Door County and all the shops there. I have never heard of Morris but it is not all that far South of my daughter's home in Milwaukee. Thanks for the tour- now go take a nice nap- xo Diana

    1. Hi Diana,
It would be a little hike from your daughter's in Milwaukee but so worth it. It would be all express way so not too bad.

My company all left today so I am going to sleep well tonight. I am so tired!!!! It was a lot of fun but a lot of work and a little drama with some family members is you know what I mean :)!!!!! So after I dropped the last batch of family at the airport I did a little happy dance in my car on the way home from the airport!!!!!

Thanks as always for your sweet comments.

  6. These are always my favorite posts looking at little shops! I loved the cottage room, and the doily tops were adorable, what a fun day. I'm in Orlando and it was just about the same weather here as you had there, so mom was not missing any warm weather down south!

  9. Kris...it looks like you all had a great day out shopping. We use to have a shop in the town next to us that was just like these...with lots of white and wonderful vintage pieces. I was so sad last week when my friend and I went there to only find that it had closed. Sure wish I lived closer to your area...I would so love shopping in these shops.

    1. Hi Cindy,
Don't you hate it when you have a favorite shop and then they close. It is a shame. I had a favorite shop up near me that closed and I use to get the best stuff in there. I felt bad when the store owner had to close especially when they build up their business and then can't make it. Hope you had a great Easter. Have a great week.
