Taking a Road Trip!!!!

Getting ready for our road trip to Junk Bonanza the Spring Show in Minnesota.  We had so much fun last fall.  When Ki Nassauer and her team said they were doing a Spring show we were excited.

My daughter Jen and her friend Cindy and my friend Sandy and I are heading out on Wednesday morning for our 7 hour trip to Minnesota.  Wooo Hooo girls just wanna have fun.

The ever so important snack basket.  This is a must in the car. Sweet and Salty and chocolate!!! No road trip is complete without the snack basket!!!!

Mapping out the McDonald's for our Diet Cokes!!

We are packing the car!!!!

I have the Junkin trip survival kit ready!
I got my Junk Love sweatshirt I bought at Junk Bonanza. I think I may need this for the Spring show.  Still mighty cold up in Minnesota!!!!
I will be sporting my lovely lucky charm necklace gifts from Susan at Must Love Junk and Debra at Commonground.  Two of the sweetest bloggers and now friends that sent me these beautiful charming necklaces.  Girls I am going to wear them for good luck  on my Junkin trip.

Junk Bonanza

September 16, 17 & 18

What is the Junk Bonanza?

The twice-a-year Bonanza provides a gathering spot for purveyors and shoppers of vintage finds, beautiful antiques, and one-of-a-kind and artisan-repurposed pieces. The three-day, indoor events each offer best-of shopping experiences and a day of hourly cash coupon giveaways, drawings and special appearances.

It is almost Time to Go!!!! Wooo Hooo Junk Bonanza here we come!!!!

Some pictures from the Fall Show.

I love the saying on this Curly Girl Design card.  So true!! I hope we go off the path many times and discover some special treasures.

And Off we go this Wednesday!!! Woooo Hoooo Girls Road Trip. Life is Good!!!

  11. Sounds like a really fun trip! I'm already looking forward to hearing all about it. Do I take it that the pic of the Morris Minor is just one you found on the internet? My husband and I have always loved the 'Moggie' Minor, and Paul even owned one from the same year as teh one in your pic.

Have a great time and drive safely

  14. I'm so glad I found your blog via Junk Bonanza! You and I post almost the same way with humor and fun. I am soooooo jealous you're going, I love that show. The vendors are so different and the prices are so good! Your first aid/ survival kit was so cute, mine is just in a big baggie. BUT, now that I have seen the error of my ways, my kit will look like yours! Down here in Texas at Round Top it's dust, dust and the heat we have to pack for. COme on down sometime, you'll love it. Glad I found you,xoxo-cindy

I am excited to get out of town this week. It should be great fun. Girls, snack basket, diet cokes and a whole lot of talking so the road trip alone will be so much fun. Then there will be the Junk!!!! Life is good.

  26. You really scored some finds today. I know what you mean. This morning in the pouring down rain on my way to the inside flea market, I saw a garage sale. I stopped (duh?) and found the most darling dollhouse for Laynee but it would not fit in my car. Usually I can cram anything in my car, but not this. So, I had to call my granddaughter who has an suv to come and get it. But, it made it home and I'll redo it for her birthday in June.

So envious of your trip. Have a fantastic time.

I had to show hubby this....he just made one for me for the show...a vintage wrought iron table (different, somewhat of a modern look) and I found an old white chippy barn door,he used for the top.
