She Shed

Thank you for all the prayers and love sent to Terry and I as we grieve the loss of his dad.  He was a good man and we will miss him.
I showed you the She Shed I purchased.  It is going to be a fun challenge to re love it into a sweet she shed for me.
It was a Chicken Coop.   Below I will show you the "before" pics of how the shed looks now.  Then I will share some inspiration pictures I found on Pinterest of ideas for transforming mine.

This is the "before" pics of the she shed.
It is chippy and needs some love but I know I will get it to a sweet place.

This side feed bin will be converted to a flower box.

Love the cute shelf and chippy window.

This is an inspiration picture.

I can gather lots of ideas from this picture.
The next pics below are lots of ideas from pinterest.

I can see doing something like this inspiration picture on the side of my shed that has a similar window and shelf.

I love the chandelier and all the sweet flowers inside this she shed.

I could see a nice hammock like this one hanging inside.

I want to paint the inside of the shed similar to this one.

This is the space in my backyard where I will put the new shed.  According to measurements it should fit perfect in this space.
I can plant roses and hydrangeas etc. throughout this area in the backyard.
I cannot wait to get started on my She Shed.  It is going to be fun and exciting to create a great new chic shed for myself.

Stay tuned to see the transformation.  If all goes well it will be delivered to my backyard next Saturday.
Have a good week ahead.
Hugs,
Kris

  2. Kris, I love that little shed. How adorable. Oh I know you will shine it up like a wee mansion. I want to tell you the glass shed by D.Reyne, is just up the road from me. That is Donna's , the lady that got me interested in blogging. She has a new shop in our town. Can't wait till you see it. Blessings and hugs to you and your family. xoxo, Susie

  4. First of all, I am SO sorry to hear about Terry's dad. I didn't see your post yesterday because this is the first time I've been online to read blogs in a couple of days. Praying for peace and comfort for Terry, you, and the rest of Terry's family.

If there's anyone that can transform that chicken coop into a gorgeous she shed, it's you! Can't wait to see the transformation.

  5. I have no doubt that your She Shed will be as spectacular as any of them. The one that sits in the woods belongs to Sandy Foster. I am still in contact with her as the cottage was in the mountains close to my home in PA. She is a sweetheart.

Can't wait to see what you get done!!!!

  17. Your new she shed will be adorable! You found great inspiration and I can't wait to see what you do. Sigh, such envy...ha! Make sure it is fumigated...my brother got histoplasmosis from helping to clean out a chicken house. We wear masks and gloves when doing a deep clean in our chicken house and run. Hopefully the feller you got it from was diligent about doing the dirty work...get it...dirty work...lol! Wishing you a splendid spring-like day! xoxo

  20. Kris, I know that you and Terry will make it beautiful - inside and out! I think that it will be good therapy for you both - something to concentrate on and help you through the grieving process. Looking forward to seeing what ideas you come up with for it's transformation. Hugs, Gilly x

  22. I think all of us ladies are envious that you will get this darling "she shed"!!! I don't know why all women seem to want one. I sure do! I'll have to go back and look where you found it, can't remember, but we have a marketplace on Facebook in our area so I never thought of looking for a chicken coup! Some are so darling, like yours. Your inspiration photos are just darling.. the 3rd one that is the key lime green, I've saved to my own Pinterest board, as we painted our house this exact color! I love it and is such a nice "cottage" color. If I ever get my own she shed, it will be painted the exact color, with white trim.. I love that one with the pink table outside and all the pink flowers - my dream... sigh. It will be so fun to watch as you transform it and fill your garden beds up with flowers and love! Hugs... 23. P.S. I think there should be a TV series just on She Sheds! Wouldn't that be awesome???

  25. Dear friend, I can't wait to see you make this she shed yours! I bet you your mind is racing with ideas! I am curious how you are going to get this home. We bought a log cabin shed and it came on a big truck that tilted and it just rolled right off. I hope it goes well getting it into your yard. Your grands are going to love it too! I think a tea party is called for!🌼

  27. The "side seed bin" actually looks like the exterior nest access on my coop. It allows me to gather eggs without going inside the coop.

  31. Hi Kris,
Don't know what happened but it was there earlier today. I fixed it or at least I hope I did.
The pictures are showing up again, so it was on my end for sure. Strange, that it left
just the one picture. So try again when you have time.
Thanks for coming by and hope your having a good week.
    Blessings,
    Nellie
