Chippy White Treasure

Hello Sweet Friends.  Hope you all had a lovely Easter.  We went to Michigan to the Lake House and it was fabulous weather and just a really nice weekend.  Of course with traveling to the lake house I had to stop at a couple of my fave shops!
One is The Found Cottage.  One of the owners is the famous
Liz Marie.  Once in awhile she will bring in treasures she has had in her famous farmhouse to be sold.  I scored big time.

Before I show you my treasure I scored.   Remember the farmhouse table Terry fixed up for the new condo?  We found some unpainted spindle back chairs that I think paired with my two slipcovered dining chairs is going to be fabulous.

I scored 4 of these spindle back chairs brand new and still in the boxes from Facebook MarketPlace.  I got all four chairs for what one chair would have cost me to buy online.

Terry put them together which was pretty easy.

Then they all got a few coats of white cabinet paint for pretty and durability.  They are  now ready to be added to the nice farmhouse table and white slipcovered end chairs.

Now for the piece that I scored for the new condo.
You can see it above on
Liz Marie's farmhouse porch.  Yep that pretty corbel alter is going to be in my new condo and I cannot wait to show you how I am going to use it in the new place.  Terry did fix the bottom of this piece with some new trim to give it a little more stability.  It is chippy in all the right places.

I am up to my eyeballs in bubble wrap and boxes.  We will be closing on the new place at the end of the month.  Not too much longer now.  Have a great rest of the week.

  6. That is so cool!! I have drooled over Liz Marie's fabulous house so many times. I can't imagine what it would be like to actually have one of the items featured in her home at one point. Lucky you! I know you'll put it to good use!! Xo

  7. Glad you found that chippy piece for your new condo. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I have that same style of chairs. I found four of them, brand new, in a thrift store about 25 years ago. I painted them blue, put on a stain to warm them up and use them in my kitchen. I swapped out the table a few years ago but still love my blue chairs.

  25. Oh my gosh Kris, that altar is a total score! What a fun addition that will be in your new place. I hear ya on the bubble wrap & boxes - our house goes on the market this Thursday, but we have already boxed up most of our belongings. We have sold and donated tons of stuff which has been a great feeling. We haven't moved in over 20 years and yikes, the stuff you acquire, lol! Best wishes on your move - looking forward to seeing your beautiful condo with all your touches in it. Jane
