New Office

We are in the condo.  Still no bed.  Long story on that.  Hopefully Monday it will arrive.

I do not know about you but I am really tired of everyone blaming lack of customer service and deliveries on Covid!

I know Covid has wreaked havoc on our lives but I think this is beginning to be an excuse for companies to not come through with what they promised.  Don't promise things in two to three days if in reality it is going to take 6 weeks.

I have my little office area set up yay!  Excuse the wire mess to the left. I am working on getting all of that organized and out of sight.

I have a beautiful view of all the trees from my office window.  I spend a lot of time on the computer so it is nice to have a great view.

We are moving along with getting things done in the new condo.  I hope to have more soon to show you.

I was sad to leave my sweet little cottage home but I have to say I am loving our new place.  It is in a beautiful area and I have met most of the neighbors and they are all so nice.

What I love most is how quiet it is here.  With being on the top floor of this old mansion it is very quiet.

There are only 3 condos on this floor.  The one lady that lives up here is 6 months in California and the other guy that share this floor with us is out for 6 months because of the fire in his place.  For now it is just Terry, Buddy and I up here.

Have a great Friday and wonderful weekend.  Hope to have some more decor to show soon.

  1. Agree 100%+ on poor customer service being blamed on Covid. A year ago, it was likely true, but now it is an excuse. We can now shed our masks but still can't talk with a human in customer service. I would rather poke myself in the eye than to have to all Comcast. A recent problem with TruGreen was unresolved due to a 3+hour wait time to talk to an agent. Then if you ever do talk to a human, they are clueless. Office looks great.

  2. KRIS!!! This space alone is enough to get a peak into what your new home will be like. White, spacious and dreamy. I hope for only the best of fun surprises to come your way as you wait...we too are waiting for an order we put in way back in February for our garden folly. I have no idea when it's coming and our backyard is a wreck but all we can do is be thankful for each day we have. Oh to just be able to get everything done now would be great!

  8. What a lovely little nook you've created! So soft and inviting!

Now with the gas shortage, I'm afraid companies will have 2 excuses to lean on. I'm sorry you have to wait so long for a bed. Bummer! Hope you can get some good sleep while you wait. Take care, my dear!

  9. Beautiful! What a dreamy office space. It's got such an ethereal feeling way up in there in the trees. Love that you have the entire floor to yourselves for bit. It's a nice way to settle in and get a feel for the place. I hope your bed shows up soon...ugh...at least you have a view!! xxoxo

  11. Oh, Kris, that's a perfect perch for you! I love being up high and having window views, although mine is not always quiet! You'll be able to get some good pictures from there, I bet. Good progress, in spite of the bed people.

  12. Hi Kris, your office space looks beautiful and so lovely you have a great view as well.
I hear you about the covid excuses.....I could not agree more don't tell people they can get something in just a few days when you know you can't get it for weeks or months. Very frustrating. Hope your bed comes soon.
Thanks for coming by to say hello, always brightens my day to hear from you.
How is Terry doing? I would imagine having a cast on his arm is a bit limiting.
Praying it heals quickly. Take care and enjoy your new place. I am sure it is gonna be lovely once you are finished.
    Blessings, Nellie

  13. How pretty your office is..and with a view..wow..! I love the chair and also..love the white keyboard and computer... Sorry to hear about your bed..wow..thats not pretty.. :0( .. I agree with you..stop making excuses for perhaps things that a business can be more up-front about...I tried to order something recently and I am usually ok with 2 weeks if its something just for pleasure...but they came back and said much, much longer..and I canceled immediately..it was $40 I didn't need to spend anyhow..lol Thanks on that part. I bet you and hubby will have an upstairs heavenly condo..(be sure to play "Stairway to Heaven" ;0) .. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed weekend.

  14. Kris - what a fabulous place for your desk! I'm not convinced that you will be looking at the computer screen though - that view is beautiful. Really looking forward to seeing more pictures of the other areas when you have put your incredible stamp on them. Hugs, Gilly

  15. Kris, such a beautiful space and the view is gorgeous. I am so happy for you. Sorry your bed is taking so long. I agree, some companies are taking advantage of Covid with their lame excuses. It is frosting that a few weeks can turn into months. Enjoy your pretty space and view. Looking forward to seeing more. Xoxo

  16. Yeah, I’m tired of it too. Just be honest about the length of time, etc.
lol, I didn’t even notice the wires until you pointed them out. I love having a pretty view - this looks like it would be wonderful. I’m so glad you are finding this all so peaceful and lovely. After all, isn’t that what home should be? Hope your bed arrives sooner rather than later! Can’t wait to see more of your new place!
    Hugs, Cecilia

  19. What a lovely spot to blog in Kris! I can't wait to see what you've done so far. We've been waiting for a vanity top since March and FINALLY got it yesterday. It's not like it was coming here on a boat, just being shipped from eastern Canada. Crazy!

  21. Oh, no! I am so so sorry about your bed. What a terrible inconvenience! I agree that some companies have used COVID as an excuse, and yet others have used COVID as an opportunity to increase their standards and earn your business. I love your pretty office alcove, and the white plantation shutters are so pretty! Thanks for the update on your Junk Chic Penthouse! ;P

  23. Such a pretty office nook! I bet the view will be wonderful through all the seasons... maybe next time you can show us a "closer up" view?? What I can see looks great.. love having views of just trees and sky. Sorry for the bed problem... hope it really DOES come on Monday! I still have an order of Pet food that is lost "somewhere" in who knows where! I did get a refund on it after waiting and waiting, and hope maybe someday it will show up when we most need it! Other places seem to be out of stock of all sorts and I just don't get it. I hope Terry is doing well.. and I bet it's frustrating for him not to be able to do some things that he's used to doing. Sending you both well wishes for a comfortable place to sleep, in your own place! Marilyn

  26. I love your sweet office space, Kris. How great to have a window to look out of and it looks like you have greenery to look at rather than a parking lot. I hope you get your bed soon! I bet you are thrilled to be almost settled in.

Right now Scruffy is playing with the little frog you sent him. It is still his favorite- along with 'One-eared bunny'. lol. xo Diana

  27. Beautiful spot for your office! It would be tempting to just look at the view and do nothing else. Hope your bed shows up soon. The changes you and Terry have made are fabulous. Praying that Terry's elbow heals completely and very soon! Is Buddy adjusting okay? xoxo

    1. You've created a lovely space, Kris. Feminine and romantic. I love the lines of the desk and that fabulous chair. Being high in the trees must feel like you're in a treehouse. A charming treehouse, to be sure. Hope you don't have to wait much longer for your bed. Hugs
