Family Room and Dining room reveal.

My design assistant is ready to show you the tour of the living room and dining room all done.
When we say all done there is always room for decor updates and changes  but for the most part it is finished.

Condo before picture.  Worn out carpet, dark burgundy walls, very heavy pattern wallpaper and dated drapes.

New flooring, painted walls and shiplap to brighten up the dining room.  New drapes DKNY sheers with button tops and bamboo cordless shades.

The room has a much lighter feel.  My pics never do these rooms justice but it has a very nice cottage farmhouse mix.

Living room Before.  Dark walls and continuation of the old carpet.
Carpet was torn out for new wood laminate flooring and excellent Behr paint in Bit of Sugar color for all these walls.  Believe it or not these walls covered with the white in two coats.  This is why I love Behr paint.  It has the primer in the paint and it covers so nice.

Lighter floors installed along with the white sheer drapery and texture added with the bamboo cordless blinds.  Terry's chair is leather and it balances out my fabric sectional.   I love that I could use my great faux fireplace surround and mantel from the old house.  It fits perfect on this wall between the dining room and family room.  Sorry again about my pics.  The glare washes out the pics but believe me this room is bright and glare free lol!

My french window along with making a bench area out of the old gate and vintage piano bench gives more texture to my whites.

My design assistant is worn out from the tour!  He will need a nap.  I am looking for natural wood end table to bring in more texture to my whites.  The hunt is on!

Have a great 4th of July.
Hugs,
Kris

  14. Good morning dear friend! Your designing skills are powered by that determination to get ideas on paper DONE. You have such energy, vision and ability to pull everything together, no matter what the challenges. In past homes, you didn't let an intimate space stop you from making it into a more open feeling and dark paint? You are armed with Behr paint, which I too love! BRAVO!

  18. Just a huge WOW! The only thing I want to see is MORE - more photos of more angles of the room spaces. It really looks so great. Behr should sponsor you, Kris, and I'm serious. What an amazing testimony to the coverage of their brand.

  43. I have been scrolling backwards to catch up.

I love the shadow boxes and I like the simplicity of just the heart.

The tiny houses are cool. I'm on another purge is our little cottage. A downside is lack of storage, but I'm looking at having less as the upside.

I love your new cottage and seeing your white to wood cabinet makeover made me cross painting my wooden cabinet off the list.

I hope all is well. I'm exhausted most days playing grandma out of town 2 days a week.
