Vintage Frames

I had two old frames that had mirrors in them that we were going to hang in our bedroom behind the night stands.  Then I was in one of my fave shops called Whimsy and I saw these shadow boxes made out of old vintage frames hanging on the wall.  The shop owner Traci used them to display her pretty items for sale.

I thought hmmm I have those two vintage frames with mirrors maybe they would look cool as shadow boxes on the wall instead of mirrors.

Gotta love Terry and his tools.  He bought some wood pieces and cut and attached them to these frames.

Terry had two great assistants helping him out.  I think the shadow boxes are so cool for the master bedroom.

Sorry for the fuzzy pics but it was raining and dark when I took these pics of the frames on the wall.

I am not a tchotchke girl.  Finding things to put in these shadow boxes is my next challenge.

Have a great Friday.
Hugs,
Kris

  4. Good morning dear Kris! Terry has struck again with his tools and you, with your imagination. Isn't it fun to repurpose items we have in our homes? I think what you've displayed here for the photo is a great idea, having maybe just ONE interesting little piece to display, maybe in a contrasting color that you love, instead of trying to fill up the frame space. Your whites look so beautiful my friend!
