| Here are the supplies I got at Hobby Lobby to bling up my two lamp shades for my kitchen night lights. Lace, lace trim and fabric flowers. |

| Here are my two plain Jane lamp shades. I got no sew fabric glue because I did not want to use a hot glue gun. I am trying to keep my fingerprints until I want to become a bank robber so no hot glue gun! |

| I added the glue down the seam on the lamp as the starting point. |
 |
| I then cut my lace to fit the lamp and glued it down at the seam. |
 |
| First layer of lace done. |

| This is my trim piece of lace. I cut this to fit around the top of the lamp shade. |

| I glued it just like I did the first layer of lace and connected everything at the seam on the lamp shade. |
 |
| The two pieces of lace fabric are done. Now on to the flowers. |
 |
| I took two of the fabric flowers and glued them to the lampshades. This is where I got a little nervous about the flowers having too much weight for the fabric glue. Soooooo I got out the hot glue gun! Yep had to do it on this part. I guess I can have a career as a bank robber after all! |

| Here is the lamp shade blinged up for the kitchen counter. I like that the lace I picked out matches the pattern on the lamp base. |

| So there you have it. Two kitchen lamp shades with some added personality for my kitchen. This project cost about $15 dollars to do both lamps and about 30 minutes to complete. Easy Peasy DIY for some cute lampshades. Have a great new week. Hugs, Kris |

ReplyDeleteYour lampshades are spectacular, Kris! They look like luxury bespoke lamps. I've been trying to get my nerve up to paint a large lampshade with fabric paint like so many that I see in my current favorite design book, British Designers at Home. I probably should choose simple stripes around it but would really like one that has swirly pattern covering the whole shade. I keep hoping my artistic daughter-in-law will help me do it.
