Chippy Post Chippy Birdcage

Terry and I took a ride a few weekends ago to Michigan.  I found this old chippy porch post in one of my fave little shops.  Was not sure what I would do with it but knew it had to come home with me.

Then I remembered I had this chippy bird cage at my daughters.   I snatched it back from her and filled it with some of my favorite spring items.

Terry attached the metal bird cage to this porch post and  I now have a cute garden post next to my spring swing.

I think it looks cute with my porch swing and old french window.
We are finally having some nice weather here in the midwest.
  Sunshine and warmer temps.
We cannot get too excited yet for Spring because we can still get cold and snow until May 1st.

I did see 5 Robins out front the other day.
That is how we know Spring is on the way here in the midwest.
When Robins come back we know Spring is not far.

Have a great Sunday and wonderful start to the new week.
xoxo

  1. Love it! You have such a magic touch. We've had sleet and cold weather this week. Sun came out yesterday and it's beginning to melt away. Suppose to be in the 70s next week. That's Oklahoma for ya! Mia loved the sleet and cold weather. She would have lived outdoor if I would have let her. She's so much fun. Starts her Training next week. Should be interesting. Have a great week.

  7. So cute! It looks so springy (is that a word? ha!) with the porch swing. You could have your own shop and help other gals decorate with chippy things. It is warming up here some but who know what March and even April will bring. I've just about had it with cold, wet and windy. xoxo

  12. That rally makes that swing area look complete, Kris. It looks like you've brought the outdoors in, a great look in your condo.
Kicking February to the curb, no more winter! I've seen Robin's all over - a really good sign- and even a bluebird last week. I've got stuff coming up in my little yard that's been hidden with all those boxwoods we took pit. I hope they all bloom! Happy Monday, almost March.

  23. I love it Kris! I got tickled at your "Snatching it back from your daughter's house". My late Motherinlove would say, "Now, I am not going to give you this. I am just letting you keep it a while so when I want it back I am coming for it". LOL! You sure have a gift and talent Kris with your decorating. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
