The winner is......

I decided on this fabric for pillows and a little project I am working on.
All the choices were good but overwhelming me.
I love my neutrals and I always say if you stick with what you love you will always be happy.

I am going to keep my white drapes and bamboo roman shades.  Drapes are expensive and a big investment.
With how I like change I think these will be able to stay up longer and I can bring change easier into my decor through pillows, throws and table decor.

I also like these drapes because they have the pinch pleat look and the cute buttons.
These are DKNY drapes I bought a long time ago at Home Goods.
They are nice drapes do not need ironing and wash  nicely.  Plus they were only $19.99 for two panels.

The new project is these cute little ottomans.
I got them at a cute shop for $20 each.  SCORE!
I will either replace the tops with the pillow fabric or I will have a slipcover in white made for each of them.
Not sure if the wheels will stay since I want to use them as ottomans.

Stay tuned to see what I do with these.

It is overwhelming when you have so many cute choices for drapes, rugs, pillows.
Since it is a big commitment and cost you have to really love what you pick.
With how I like to change things up I decided to stay safe and keep the drapes I have and just add texture and print in pillows and decor pieces.

I am a white, chippy, vintage pieces and neutral girl as most of you know that follow me.
I think this will be the best option.
I loved all your thoughts on the different choices I had.

Have a great weekend.
xoxo
Kris

  1. As usual, your decision is perfect. Love the idea of using the fabric on pillows instead. Much less expensive and not as risky. Go you, girl!

  5. Hi Kris. I agree on keeping the curtains. A crispy clean white drape/curtain is classic and easy. Bamboo blinds NEVER go out of style and go with everything too. Love your two little ottomans. What a great find!

  6. Good morning dear Kris! Good choice. Introducing seasonal colors with pillows and other easy to move/store items has always worked for me while keeping the fixed objects (furniture, drapes) the same:neutral!

  9. I love the fabric you have chosen for pillows and those darling ottomans. I'm glad you decided to keep the white curtains. I couldn't believe it when I saw your curtains and said they're DKNY and you got them at HG...I was there this afternoon, and I picked out two different curtains for the living room. One was the exact ones that you have! lol I don't know if pure white will go in my living room though. The other pair is a beige linen. I'll have to hang them up to see what looks good.

Hope you're having a good weekend!

  11. Love your choice! The print will make pretty pillows. The drapes are perfect with the button trim on the pinch pleats and the shades look so nice with them. The lines on the little stools are pretty. Can't wait to see what you do with the new fabric and the stools, just to put your stamp on them. xoxo

  15. Great decision! I don't know as I'd cover an ottoman in white, because people's dirty shoes rest on it, but if you can wash them, no problem.

  22. It IS overwhelming when it comes to picking patterns for window treatments. I usually go for something quite plain so I can change other things up without a clash of materials. LOVE those little ottomans. What a find and I love the fabric you picked. xo Diana
