Salvage Mirror/ Fireplace Mantel Picture

I have wanted this full length mirror made of salvage pieces for over 4 years.  It hung in a shop called Whimsy I have mentioned before that I love to visit.   I just never could find a place in any of the past two homes that I could fit it in my decor.   Terry told me to buy it and we would make it work somewhere in our condo.
I love that about him.  He has tools and can make just about anything work.
Our ceilings are 8ft and the mirror measured to 8ft but with the crown molding it just was not going to make it.  Terry was able to take 4 inches off the bottom of the mirror to make this work just inside our entry way.

It makes a nice statement as you enter into the living room from the entry way.

I love the detail on this mirror.  I found these corbels in another shop and I hope to find just the perfect chandelier type lights to make the corbels light fixtures.  For now my angels adorn them.

The detail to this mirror is Fabulous.

I also got a new picture for over my fireplace mantel.  There was a mirror there and my chandelier hanging in front of it.  That has moved to make way for this new picture.
I am almost done with my new French Garden Chateau theme in the dining room.
My beautiful French chandelier has been moved to the dining room and an old salvage arch window I had hanging in my bedroom.  I will have a post up on this new dining room in a few days.

In the meantime have a beautiful start to the new week.
Hugs,
Kris

  6. KRIS!!!!! Tell Teri he is a GENIUS! He can make anything work. Wow. And to think that the mirror had been waiting for you all this time! It is perfect. In fact, your corbels just gave me an idea for my new home. I too have an antique mirror that is now sitting in a corner instead of hanging on the wall. It is flanked by two gorgeous, antique pillars from a church. But I do have a pair of chippy corbels that I need to bring up from storage to see if I can incorporate this theme alongside the mirror. Well done, you!

Just wondering if you could send me Terry for a Christmas gift next year? I would take ever such good care of him and feed him praise and good food. I need a handyman!!!

Hope you have a wonderful upcoming weekend, Kris. xo Diana
