French Farmhouse Chairs

These were the chairs that I had in my dining room.  They came with my Farmhouse table.  They were functional but something just never felt right with these chairs.

I found these slipcovered chairs on Wayfair.   I normally do not like to buy furniture on line because of color variations and are they comfy etc.  They did have great reviews so I thought I would take the leap and order them.

I do not iron so I am hoping the few wrinkles in the skirts will smooth out.  I might try that wrinkle release from Downy.  Have any of you ever had luck with that spray on wrinkles?

I like the look with my table.  More comfortable seating and a little more formal but not too formal!

I love that I can take off the slipcovers to wash them if need be.  This worked out well even though I was nervous about ordering furniture on line.

We always try to get away on our birthdays since mine fell on Easter Weekend we decided to wait and go this weekend.
We will be staying at a cute cottage near the lake in Michigan and of course near all the fun shops.

Have a good rest of the week.
Hugs,
Kris

  5. Love the chairs, Kris and yes, Downy wrinkle release works! I bought it on a recommendation to get rid of wrinkles in poly blend tablecloths and I don't know how, but it works! Have a great weekend away.

  6. Those look comfy! I understand being nervous about buying furniture online! Reviews help me decide and still I cross my fingers. Ooo, so what will you be looking for in all the cute shops? I’d love to come up that way someday. Happy belated birthday!

  9. Hi there,
These chair covers are perfect, they look so comfortable now!

busy over here too, moving in maybe a month, we settle on the brand new place in two weeks. Down sizing is horrid, especially after you have brought in half of your parents household.

  11. I tried the wrinkle release and it didn't work for me. Then I bought an inexpensive travel steamer, worked great on my loveseat cover. Hope this helps.

  12. Darling chairs Kris! I've tried wrinkle release and it worked, but don't remember the brand. Big help I am! How fun to go this weekend to a "cottage on the lake". Such fun and Happy belated Birthday to you! I've also used a small steamer which worked great for wrinkled clothes. Seems like a small (battery operated?) steamer would be just perfect for those chairs. Have a fun weekend! Marilyn

  13. Hi Kris ~ Happy Belated Bday, Hope you got CAKE!! I recommend a steamer, Walmart has a nice size with long cord. I've used it for curtains & even sheets on guest beds that are wrinkled.

Please let me know if you use the spray ... or how you get the wrinkles out. I have something that also needs this help. ;-)
    Love You!! Carla
