New French Chic Cottage Sectional

I am going to make this short and sweet.  I loved my old sectional but the cushions were sagging and the material was pilling.  The company replaced them once and then 6 months later the same thing.  To make a long story short they would not replace them again and they discontinued the color and fabric so I could not get a new sectional to replace it.  I even bought the extended warranty that the powers that be say you should never buy.  Well...... now I know why.  They are useless.

Anyway no customer service and companies standing behind the quality of what they sell anymore.

Enter the new sectional.
We decided to open up the living room with chaises on both ends.  Very comfy for watching TV.  This is performance fabric and a better quality cushion so we will see how this all goes with the new sectional.

Ok problem number two.  In order to make this fit on the wall with two chaises we lost some wall space for end tables and lamps.  So.......

I had two corbels and a chippy long shelf.  I had Terry cut them down to fit the lamps.

Problem solved.  Yeah!

I found this beautiful armoire on FB Market Place.

This is the beginning of re loving this piece into a new piece.  I am not a fan of the knotty pine look.
Stay tuned to see how this will turn out.  Of course it is starting a whole switch a roo in my living room.

I think when I get the pieces all in place and move around some decor items I will have this looking good.

Have a wonderful weekend.
It has been in the high 90's all week with very little rain.  My flowers have needed drinks of water two times a day.
Next week hopefully we will be back into the 80's and the stifling heat will be gone.

Hugs,
Kris

  1. Gorgeous Kris!! It's such a bummer that the old company didn't stand behind their product. However, the new sectional is so beautiful and looks great in your room. I also love the corbel shelves. I actually bought a pair at the thrift store recently, but had no idea what to do with them. Now I do!! Love the look!! Can't wait to see what you are doing with armoire...I need you to be my Facebook personal shopper!! Have a great weekend!! xo

  2. Kris, the sectional is so pretty and it looks great with the corbel shelves. It looks like you and Terry will be comfortable on the loungers. I can't wait to see what you do with the Armoire. We've cooled down yesterday and today from a heat wave we had. The weather feels so cool now. I hope the weather cools up for you and have a nice weekend.
