Witches Night Girlfriend Party

Friday night I had my Girlfriend Party.
This year's theme is Gather Witches.
There were witches hats and parked brooms everywhere.  As you can see here in Illinois we are way above temps for October.
Summer is not letting us go.  The flowers and trees do not know what to do.

I decorated the garage with backdrop curtains and lights.  I forgot to take a picture of this when it got dark.  It was so pretty with the lights.
We took advantage of the nice weather to have the party outside.  This way all the witches could have more personal space and our witches hats did not bump into each other!!

I had lots of fun prizes for all the games we play.

We played LCR and No Name Game and Saran Wrap Ball.  If you want to know about these games you can google them or look on Pinterest.
The girls all bring some scratch off lottery tickets and we do a swap of those.
It is a fun night of drinking, eating and playing fun games.  Most of all it is a great night to celebrate all our friendships.

I decorated the bathroom too.  My stackable pumpkins that light up.

I even found a cute shower curtain from HomeGoods for the bathroom.

This is my oldest daughter Jen and myself.  Her witches hat even had lights.  I decided to be a British Witch with my decorated fascinator.

This is my girl gang of witches.  I have known these girls for over 30 years.  We share such a great bond.
I always say there will be friends that come and go in our lives and there are the ones that will be with us when we take our last breath.  These are those gals.  I cherish my friendship with all of them.

This is my oldest daughter Jen at the right end.  It does my heart good that my two daughters have beautiful friendships.

This is my other daughter Kimmie she is on the left end.  Her friend Katie with the yellow witch hat is a wonderful seamstress and she made all their quilted witches hats.  Such talent with these girls.

Here we all are together.  Three wonderful groups of bff's that enjoy being together at these parties to share fun and laughter.

This party is bittersweet for me.  I have been doing this party for over 30 years.  This is my last official Girlfriend Party.  I am retiring from throwing this party and handing the torch over to my girls.

It has been so much fun for me through the years to celebrate all of these friendships and honor each of them with a beautiful party each year.

I will continue to have BFF game nights and smaller parties just not on the level of these parties I have thrown for 30 years.

I wish all of you blogger sweet friends could come to one of my parties.  I have met and become friends with so many of you in
blogland over the past 15 years.
Who knew that such wonderful friendships could blossom through this crazy world called blog land.

I do not post as much as I have in the past years but I try to stay in touch and share posts on occasion with all of you.
I love following all of you on FB, IG and blogland and seeing all the love and creativity.

Enjoy the new week ahead.
Hugs,
Kris

  1. You outdid yourself again, Kris. The only BAD thing--I couldn't be there...bad for me, that is. I wish everyone in blogland that you are friends with could experience the wonderful girlfriend parties you have thrown. I'll never forget my first one..and meeting your family. Charlotte was just a baby in a carrier.

Wonderful 'summery' day for us before the weather turns tonight. Cooler and rain (which we need) coming for the next few days.

Hope you can unwind all weekend and enjoy some quiet time after all the work of the party. xo Diana
