Dollar Store Snowman Craft

With the last post I showed you how I made these large snowmen on old candlesticks

In this post I want to show you these cute smaller versions that all the parts are from the dollar store.
I made these for my granddaughter Charlotte's teachers and the office staff, school nurse and principal.  Each one was under $5 dollars to make.

These are snowman head ornaments from the dollar store.  All finished and ready to make into snowman.

These are candle sticks from the dollar store.

I bought these headbands with bows on them.

I pulled them off the hand band pretty easily.  I thought they looked like little bow ties.

I got this ribbon at the dollar store.  Red, black and white velvet and a lacy ribbon.

I bought this super glue for projects that I thought would be easier than getting out the hot glue gun.  You could use a hot glue gun.

Here are the snowman head ornaments glued onto the candlesticks.

I went around the rim of the candle stick top and also put glue on the bottom of the snowman heads.

Then I cut strips of the ribbon and tied them to the neck of the candle stick.  I guess you could also glue the ribbon to the neck of the candle sticks but it seemed easier to just tie them on.

I then glued the bow ties to the neck where the ribbons all came together.

Here they are finished.  This was so easy, quick and inexpensive.  They would make cute place settings or as we are using them for sweet gifts.  I think the teachers and office staff, nurse and principal will love having these for their desks.  Since they are snowmen they could leave them on their desks all winter long.

I had clear cello bags for them and tied them off with the extra left over ribbon.

Every piece of these were a $1.25 at the dollar store.
Charlotte cannot wait to give them to her teachers, and school staff.

Gotta love the dollar store.
Have a great Friday and weekend.
Hope you are enjoying getting ready for Christmas.

Something to share.  My husband was in the hospital this past week.  He got an
intestinal blockage.  Years ago he had hernia surgery and they used a mesh.  A piece of the mesh broke off and attached itself to a piece of the intestines causing a blockage.
We were so fortunate they did not have to do surgery and they were able to open up the blockage.
He is home and doing so much better.
It was a long week.
I needed this little project for the evenings returning home after a long day at the hospital.
It was relaxing and therapeutic outlet for me.
For all of you that knew about what was going on with Terry this week I thank all of you for the care, concern and especially prayers.
I am happy he is home and will be doing great for Christmas.

Hugs,
Kris
