Easy Peasy Re Love Color For Nightstands

Fusion Paint is one of my favorite paints for furniture painting.  It is a paint with no prep.  Make sure your piece is clean of course and you are ready to paint.

In our house I am not the painter.  Terry is the best with all the projects I give him to paint lol!  With that said I decided to show all of you like me that hate to paint how you can change up a furniture piece easy peasy in less than 1/2 hour.

We have two vintage side dresser in our bedroom.  They have been white for a long time.  I wanted to give them a little re love with some color.

My bedroom is cottage theme so I decided to find a Fusion paint in blue that would go with my blue background wallpaper.

Little Whale was my choice.  I thought it would complement the blue in the wallpaper design.  Below is how the company defines the Fusion paint.
I love this paint because there is no preparations just make sure your surfaces are clean and dry.  It does not matter if the piece has any kind of finish.   Fusion paint will cover it.
I used this paint on my dining room table a while ago and it has held up well.

Fusion Mineral PaintTM is made with high quality ingredients, including a durable built-in top coat that cures to a washable matte sheen. No top required for normal everyday use, however sometimes adding a little extra protection can add peace of mind for highly used surfaces.

I went to Dollar Tree and got the cheapest small paint brush.  The cheaper the brush the better!  I wanted to give the dresser a new distressed blue cottage look.

Literally all I did to the nightstands was to paint on the fusion.  I wanted some of the white dresser to show through another reason why I used a cheap brush.

This shows you what a lazy painter I am.  I did not even take off the handles.  I figured they could look a little distressed too.

When editing photos it can have the color look a little off.  The blue is a lighter color of the blue in my wallpaper.  On my screen this blue looks  lighter and more of a baby blue.  It is not.  It is more of a gray blue.
Fusion makes small samples of their colors so you can try them before buying the paint.

There you have it.  Some of you are the best painters of furniture and take your time to prep and paint.  I applaud you.  I however have Terry for my painting needs.  Terry has the patience and expertise that I do not have!!!
I just wanted to see if the easy peasy Fusion paint would be easy to make over the night stands.

It was easy peasy.  I like the white showing through in spots to blend with the white flowers and the rest of the whites in the room.

One more thing before I end the post.

This is our little grandson Edmund saying go Bears in his
Caleb Williams Chicago Bears Jersey.
We are huge Chicago Bears fans in this family.  We are excited to be in the playoffs and hopefully the Super Bowl.
Our last time in the Super Bowl was 1986.
We beat (FINALLY!) our rivals the Green Bay Packers to continue on to hopefully the Super Bowl this year.
Sorry Diana but your Packers (affectionately known to us Bear Fans as the Cheese Heads) have to share the Super Bowl the hopes and dreams.

Green Bay Packer picture of fans with the cheese head hats.

Chicago Bears Fans with the Cheese Grater hats for playing against Green Bay and winning.

All I can say is the Cheese Grater hats worked lol!
Go Bears!!!!

Have a great week.
Hugs,
Kris

My hubbs, Rex, is a terrible painter, so I am the painter. I am not that perfect, but your kind of painting is perfect. I painted my dining room under the chair rail with
a sea bluegreen many years ago, I remember my daughter and her high school friend were watching a Romeo and Juliet video for a school project many years ago. haha that is how long ago, she is 39 now haha haha

  12. This is MY kind of painting! I'm a lazy painter.. I don't want to prep or do much of anything so I just never do it! I've seen this Fusion Paint advertised and it's on my "to do" list to get some and try it out. Do you have to seal it somehow? I know chalk paint you have to seal with wax or something. I don't even want that step! ha ha... I LOVE that color of blue.. it is so soft and matches your wallpaper so well....Love to see you adding a little color to some of your decorating! I have a couple of little antique tables I may try, though I just want them white (I think?). Your grandson is adorbs! Hugs... Marilyn

  13. I love that color so much! I've been refinishing a couple pieces of furniture as well and I've been a bit stumped as to which color I should use next. I will definitely be looking for this one at my local hardware store. Thanks so much for sharing!

  14. No self respecting adult would be seen in public wearing a foam kitchen gadget hat. No wonder the Chinese are pummeling Americans in academics and trade.

    1. OMG it is a joke can you never allow yourself any fun in life!!! By the way these hats are made in America by a small start up company that now is doing beyond what they thought they could ever do. So it is helping America. Also people with a sense of humor enjoy longest running rivalry in all of sports. When you come on my blog I welcome you but you make me sad with your negative and sad comments.
