Speaking of sharing. I put peanuts out for my squirrels each morning. Today I see we have a new visitor to the spot. She is a cute little opossum.
Now Goldie and her three other friends that come each day will have to share their peanuts with Opossum.
I feed the squirrels peanuts and so far so good with doing this because it keeps them out of my bird feeder. My bird feeder is hard for them to access but if I do not give them peanuts they find a way. So far this has worked.
I will be back soon to show you the refinish on the new piece and how it looks in the new space. Happy New Year Have a wonderful week. Hugs, Kris
PS: All of you that knew about Terry's surgery and kept good thoughts and prayers, I want you to know he is doing great. Terry had hernia surgery years ago and somehow a piece of the mesh they used to repair the hernia broke off and adhere its self to the small intestines causing major blockage issues. Terry was really sick and could not eat so they went in and removed the mesh and repaired that area. He is home and doing well. He went in for surgery the day after Christmas. Happy he made it through our Christmas celebration before being in the hospital. |
I am so glad that Terry is doing well after surgery. I know he has a great care giver. Kris, I love the piece from FB Marketplace. Did the owner reveal any info on it? I will be anticipating all the furniture shuffling and seeing where everything lands! Happy Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteSo happy to hear Terry is doing well, Kris and you two can start the new year off with no worries! I can't wait to see what you do next to your beautiful spaces. I have that same decorating bug now that the Christmas trees are down. I'm ready for a little change! I hope you have a great week!! 💕
ReplyDeleteSo glad Terry is doing well. I'm sure its due to his fabulous nurse he has taking care of him! Your new piece is beautiful. Can't wait to see what you do with it. I know it will be awesome. HappyNew Year. Judy Clark
ReplyDeleteBest news is knowing Terry is on the mend. He needs to be in tip top shape to be moving all that furniture around, lol. Girl, you did a 180° in buying that wall unit when compared to the smaller bench and table! You may want to add spinach to Terry's diet.🤣 Can't wait to see the next iteration of "Kris' Furniture Escapades".
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear Terry is doing well. I know you are relieved to have him on the mend. I think the faux fireplace will be perfect in your bedroom. The big storage piece will be great to have! I hope it works in that spot. Awkward spaces can be hard to figure out so maybe this is what it needs. Fingers crossed! Have fun with your switcharoos.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Cecilia
P.S. love the opossum! They are great to have around. The squirrels will always find a way to get food, lol.

ReplyDeleteWonderful news about Terry! So very pleased for you both. I am loving your ideas of the changes to your beautiful home and that new buy will be so useful for storage. You cannot have too much storage - that's just what I am lacking. Happy and healthy New Year to you both! Take care, Gilly (UK)
ReplyDeleteKris, I am so glad to hear Terry is recovering nicely from that surgery. What a time to experience that. He needs his strength to assist you with your projects. Your new marketplace piece is gorgeous. I cannot wait to see the makeover and see it in your space. You are definitely a furniture shuffler. Have fun and enjoy the new year. Xoxo
ReplyDeleteIf you are like me, you have those "gorilla" brand leg pads for the bottom of your furniture. Yes, I am sliding tall or long things around here like a jigsaw puzzle.
ReplyDeleteI understand completely about the chair, and when you find it you will know.
I like all of your plans, you can get this sorted quickly.... and I am hopeful the result will be pleasing for a while anyway. Happy New arrangements.
I'm thrilled to hear Terry is home and recovering. Hopefully he will have no further issues. What a great piece you found. Enjoy making changes. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI love a good report! Thank you for sharing how Terry is doing.
ReplyDeleteWill you name your opossum? She is cute. ;-) Can you believe we have them way up here too!! Not many, but a few will come visit below our bird feeder.
I have been playing around with an area of our home to, our entry. I think I got it. When Jeremy came home yesterday he noticed right away and said, I like this.
