Fusion Paint

This is the Fusion paint I have been working with on some new projects around the house.  I love this mineral paint.  You do not have to prepare your surface except for cleaning.  No sanding or primer needed.  That is the beauty of this paint.  It cures to the furniture so you do not have to put a finish on it if you like the matte finish.

Here are some of the colors in creams and beige that they have.  The Cashmere is what I chose to use.  It shows a little darker in the samples than it really is.

The first piece of furniture we used this was on my coffee table.
Very neutral color.

The next piece was my dining room table top.

Like I mentioned you do not have to use any kind of sealer with your fusion finish but with this being my dining table I decided to put a finish on the table.
It gave the table a nice sheen finish and will protect against food stains or water marks.  I used the color white which really just lightened the color of the table top a small amount.  It also comes in other colors and a neutral clear.  I wanted the white to soften the color.

I also added some drapes I found on Amazon.  It is hard to capture the pattern in these drapes.  They are sheer white with cream, beiges and rust color floral pattern.

It picks up the darker colors of my roses and baskets etc. in the room.

This is a close up of the pattern.  The floral pattern matches a lot of the flowers I have in my decor pieces.

This FB Market Place purchase is almost done.  I will have the re love of this piece in my next post.

Here in Illinois we usually do not see Robin's until Spring.  In fact we have a saying that once you start to see Robins,  Spring is just around the corner.

Not sure why this girl is here so soon.  It is so bitter cold here.  Only 6 degrees today and it is going to drop below freezing for temps in the coming days.

I wish this sighting was to say Spring is around the corner but I think this girl and her partner must have decided to stay here and not go south for the winter months.   Winter is in full bloom and I am pretty sure we will not see Spring for a few more months.

We are just trying to stay warm up here and get through these next harsh winter months.  At least the sun is out which helps to make if feel a little bit warmer.

Have a good rest of the week.
Hugs,
Kris

  1. I have never used fusion paint but next time I have a project I will try it. Sanding is the worst part and I like that you can skip that step! Your curtains are so pretty...love everything!!!! I can't wait to see your armoire.....

  3. Hey Kris! I haven’t used Fusion paint. It sounds like a dream to work with. Do you have to order it? Your curtains are so soft and pretty. They tie your decor together nicely. The robins have been coming through here too. Seems early but we’ve been so warm so maybe ? However, this weekend we are supposed to get below freezing and stay there for several days. They’re predicting ice which means we have to prepare for power outages. I’m not a fan of ice. I’d rather have snow. Fortunately for us, it won’t last long. I hope you get lots of sunshine.

  4. Hi Kris, I love that paint and the color looks so pretty on your coffee table and your dining room table. I like that you don't have to do any priming first and makes the job easy and fast. The curtain is nice and looks so subtle. I can't believe how cold this winter is and it's only 19 degrees here and more snow on the way this weekend. I can't wait until spring. I hope you stay warm and enjoy the rest of the week.

  5. Hi, I love it. The curtains are beautiful.
Thank you for sharing about the paint. I just finished a table. I had to prime and paint two coats of paint on it. It turned out nice.
    Stay cozy!!!
    Love, Carla

  6. I have heard great things about Fusion Mineral paint. Love your new drapes. We say the same. A robin means spring is around the corner. It's very cold here with snow on the ground. I love the cold but 15 degrees for the high is a tad too much. Hugs, Cindy

  8. Yes, I got some curtains in that texture on Amazon. Same kind of pattern, mine have a bit of color, but same soothing fabric.
The paint is beautiful! I love the finish. I have some pieces I would love to paint two book cases (really old... they were my dad's in his office even back in the 80's now painted kind of cashmere color, flat no sheen, already but totally need a nice finish)
    l will look for this.
It is so nice to see a big chubby Robin. She must love winter and has a great shelter for winter.
    Stay warm and toasty.

  9. I really need to check into this wonderful paint, Kris. Your pieces look fabulous and your new drapes are so sheer yet that that sweet pattern. You’re so right in how the rust color picks up the color in your baskets. Can’t wait to see your FBMP piece debut. We are going to get your weather this weekend! 🥶🥶🥶

  10. I was desperate for white paint and a friend gave me some of her Fusion a few years ago. It was fabulous. Great coverage, no prep and tough. It definitely hold up to daily use in a high traffic areas! Your place looks amazing, Kris. What a lovely, cozy space to hibernate when the temps are so low...and the snow starts to fall. Stay warm!! xxoo

  11. Love all you've did with the Fusion paint. Haven't tried it yet, but would like to. Not looking forward to our record setting temps coming up this weekend! But as we know all too well, this too shall pass!

  12. That paint sounds brilliant Kris! Also those drapes look to be perfect for your beautiful home! Keep warm - we've got slightly higher temperatures here in UK but it's been almost constant rain this month, with very little sunshine. It's depressing and we are longing for Spring. Gilly (UK)

  14. I love the look of that Fusion paint. I will try to find some and try it on a couple of small pieces. Your coffee table and dining table are beautiful. Does Fusion carry their own sealer? Your flowy curtains are just gorgeous! So perfect for your room. I love seeing some color here and there. The rust color is yummy. Hard to find descriptive words! I see the colder weather and snow and ice are heading your way! Stay warm and safe! Marilyn

  16. I love your curtains! Do you think the paint is user friendly? There are a few projects I'd like to do around here while going through the renovation. I can't wait to see what you do with the giant armoire. It is so pretty!
