Cottage Neutral Wallpaper

This is where the wallpaper was to begin and end!  It is a light beige/gray background with soft cream roses.  I loved the subtleness of this wallpaper that brought some interest to the wall.

Next thing I know it started to multiply around all the walls in the living room and dining room!!!

I found these old garden gates and had Terry add them to  my vintage window on the dining room wall.  Some people look at old windows, doors, gates etc. as things to throw away.  I look at these pieces as something from history and they need to be re loved somehow.

I have my vintage birdhouse with bunnies and flowers hanging on this old board for now.  I would love to find something special to hang off this board.

I got some faux flower mixes and hung them above my old garden bench.  The faux flowers look and feel so real.

I told you in my last post we were staying in and old firehouse turned Airbnb in Michigan for Easter.  This is my little grandson all dressed up in his fire gear to save the day.  This place was pretty cool.  We all had a great time.
Hope your Easter was fabulous.
These moments in time of being together with family is the most amazing gift.

Have a great rest of the week.
Hugs,
Kris

  6. So pretty, Kris! I cannot believe how much Edmund has grown! I'm so happy you all could have that time together. Should we change the lyrics to "Mama, don't let your babies grow up to be firemen?" Just kidding!
We're all over here counting down 400 unpaid clinical hours until graduation......

  8. That wallpaper is just so YOU, Kris. Very subtle and pretty and it adds so much interest to your home. It's amazing how 'real' faux flowers look now compared to even 10 years ago.

Look how cute Edmund is in his little fireman costume. The perfect place to wear it. I am so glad you are able to capture these moments with your kids and grandkids. The years go by so fast and the grands get interests of their own and our lives change as theirs do.

I hope you have some green where you are. Nothing is up here yet and we still have some residual snowbanks around our property...sigh....I am SO anxious for a nice warm spring day. According to the news our temps have been way below normal this last month or so.

Have a wonderful upcoming weekend. xo Diana

  13. You had a beautiful Easter with your family. So nice.
I love the wallpaper. You are correct, everything has a story, everything you see has been here being part of a life, and should continue so. We can only try to imagine positive history, and special stories. Who held on to those rails? Your house looks beautiful! Your grandboy is so cute.
Dear Kris, I hope this week has been a good one with sunshine.
    Happy Easter week!

  17. Happy Easter a little late Kris. Glad you spent time with your extended family. How fun to see your grandson copying grandpa already! Sounds like a fun b&b. Your wallpaper is absolutely PERFECT! I love the hints of peach and the peach accents around the rooms. Just love it all. You sure know how to remove those old windows, doors and gates! All just ended up in the perfect spot in your home. Hugs.....Marilyn
