I took a ride to Hobby lobby and found some spring flowers along with small grapevine wreaths and small nests.

I got out my hot glue gun and glued these all together. I burned off most of my finger prints so I think I could have a career now in crime lol!

I took a thin piece of ribbon and tied the wreath and flowers to the tie backs on the chairs.

When we went to Michigan last weekend to celebrate my birthday I found this Gather Together sign in a cute little shop.

The little bird nests are so sweet and just the perfect touch for the back of your chairs!!! Love your new sign too. Happy Belated Birthday!!!

I laughed with your fingerprints being burned off and you could get away with being a criminal! Your chairs look gorgeous with the darling nests. I am not a fan of ironing either. However, I learned from Mary at Home Is Where the Boat Is about a spray by Downy called Wrinkle Release. I’m so lazy that I’ll also spray things with water and stick them in the dryer for a bit or take things out of the dryer while they’re still damp, and hang them. I guess you could say, I really avoid ironing. 😂 Have a great rest of your week, Kris. xo
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday Kris!! I hope you had a fabulous trip. Your slipcovers look amazing and I adore your little bird nest DIYs. They are darling and look darling your dining area! Enjoy them...and the weather!! Here come those flip flops!!! xo
ReplyDeleteHappy April Birthday!!! Our Sam has an April birthday. :-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the slipcovers and the little bird nest with flowers!!!
I love your home. Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.
Love, Carla
Really pretty finish to the chair covers, Kris. Hey, do the crime and you'll do no time, hurry! Love the sign on the framed out window. I hope your birthday was fabulous. I'm not even going to ask if your card made it on time. I don't want to know how badly the post office is doing. I mailed a local card more than a week before my friend's birthday and she didnt get it yet. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! Looks like you found yourself a nice present! Love the sign. It goes perfectly with the window. Very cute way to dress up the slipcovers, too. Worth the burnt off fingertips, lol. Ouch, I hate glue guns for that but they’re so darned handy! Glad you’re having nice weather! Enjoy!

Happy belated birthday Kris. Your Birthday is the same day as my great granddaughter Lilly. She turned a sweet 16. The chairs look lovely with the spring flowers and bird’s nests. I hate ironing too. I have a small steamer iron I bought on TikTok. It does a great job of steaming away the wrinkles.i just hold it a few inches away and let it steam. Sorry to hear the hot glue burned your fingers, that is painful. Love your sense of humor. Happy weekend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteThat looks great. LOL about ironing them...I use a steamer when I HAVE to do something. That is a cute way to finish the ties on back. Fits right in with your vibe. UGH on the hot glue. Happy Spring- you are ahead of us. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteA perfect finishing touch Kris! I love the sign too. I hope that you had a great birthday. We have sunshine too, it just makes everything much better. Gilly (UK)
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday, Kris! I love the way you finished off the chair covers, perfect for spring and summer! I also love the sign. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteCute little flower arrangements. The chair covers aren't practical in a house with little kids or cats, they'd be shredded and filthy in a few days.
ReplyDeleteDarling additions to your chair covers! I had to laugh about the glue gun.. I finally bought some Dollar Tree little spatulas with the silicone spatulas, and use those to push things down and hold things when using the glue gun. No more charred fingers! You can also get little silicone finger tips that work great. My sister uses some sort of spray to get out wrinkles.. I get the Downy one is what she uses. I used to have a steamer to use, but never did use it! so got rid of it! I still have an iron and ironing board, so now and then will iron something that came out of the wash wrinkled. Usually throwing it back in with something damp will do the trick though. You are so full of talent! xoxoxo Marilyn
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take much to heat up an iron and press out your chair coverings.
ReplyDeleteI love it Kris, it adds the perfect touch for spring and summer. Imagine the things you can use for all the seasons. I knew you would bring something adorable home from your trip and it fits perfectly. Hugs, Cindy
ReplyDeleteKris, I love the project you made for the backs of your chairs. The dining room look so pretty and perfect for spring. I hate ironing and getting burns from using the hot glue gun. Happy belated birthday Kris. I hope you have a wonderful week.
