Summer in the Garden

My faux and real flowers are done and ready for summer.
I hope the faux flowers will live up to the hype and make it through the summer sun and not fade.
I can then pull them out at the end of the season and store them until next year.

The faux flowers around the tree and mailbox work nicely since there is so much shade from the tree.  Plus the bunnies have not touched them.

I put up these shower curtains to frame out the sliding door.  I have my lounge chair ready to sit and read this summer.  The curtains just are a fun way to make if feel more like an inside room.

This was a birthday present.  She was a dark black color but I painted her white for my garden.  I wish I could put birdseed in her skirt but the squirrels will have a feast.

I planted two hydrangea bushes in this area.  It does get some sunshine but mostly shade.  I am hoping these hydrangea that do like shade will thrive.

I have a nice spot now to sit and read this summer.

I bought three real petunia bags for the garage lights and the patio door.  They look a little scraggly right now with the cooler temps,  but once it warms up I know they will thrive and climb.

We leave tomorrow for our journey of exploring North Carolina.
I am excited but also overwhelmed with all the areas we want to see next week.

Wishing all of you a beautiful day on Sunday to celebrate the wonderful mothers and grandmothers you all are.
Enjoy your day.
