I went to the Kane County Flea Market this past week end ( my fav flea market)!!!!! and I found this beautiful cedar chest that needed some love.  Only $35 bucks fully lined in cedar. I jumped on it knowing it just needed a little love.  The hubby sanded it down and fixed the feet and painted it white.  I distressed it to bring back the old chippy feel to it.  My motto is redo and relove and you can bring life back to almost anything.

And now a beautiful new coffee table that I can store all the winter throws in.  Love the flea market and the great finds you can get there.

I have a sectional in my family room that I have been trying to think about how I could "cottage" it up some how.  I looked into getting a slipcover made and that cost almost as much as the sectional cost me a year ago at Macy's!!!! So I was in Vintage a cute store in Morris yesterday and found these cute scarfs so I decided to attach them to the base of the sectional as a skirt.  I had a hard time getting a good picture but I think I might like this.  Not sure yet.  I am going to give it a couple of days and see if it grows on me.

Since we live in a cute lake town I wanted to do one of my guest rooms in a lake cottage theme. This is the way I had the guest room done up in Lake Cottage.  I was not real happy with this so I changed a few things today in there. It kind of started today with this new Lakeside cottage sign I got up in Cedarburg Wisconsin in a cute little shop.   Did not have to buy anything new just changed some things around and added a few things.  What do you think??????

Ok I fell in love with this beauty the moment I set eyes on her in front of the Perfect Pear Shop in Crystal Lake.  Ohhhhhh I just had to have this vintage beauty.  She was originally not for sale and after alot of begging (not really Sara the owner was pretty nice about it) they let me buy her.  I had my mind set to put her in my garden but then when I got her home I decided to keep her (for now) in the front entry way.  Ohhhhhh the many plans I have for this little one.  I can just see her at Christmas with greenery and white lights and angel wings!!!!! Ohhhh the possibilities for different things is so exciting.  Love her!!!!! Thanks to Sara and her mom at the Perfect Pear for letting her go!!!!! I will definately give her a good home.

Here are some updates to my lake style guest room.  It is coming together nicely.  I am awaiting a cute beach this way sign to hang on the old picket fencing on the old window.  I think once that arrives this room will be almost finished.  I am loving the way it is coming out.

I went to the Kane County Flea Market this week end and scored this beautiful handpainted beauty for my garden.  It was garden love at first site!!!!!!!!!  This women had beautiful hand painted pieces and very reasonable.  I polyed this to the max and put it out in the garden by my rose bushes.  Love it!!!!! So pretty.
