Christmas Kitchen Decor

Hello Sweet Blogger Friends.
Hope all your baking, shopping, wrapping, Christmas Card writing and all other holiday things are going well.

This time of year goes so fast.

Trying to enjoy all the days leading up to the big day.

Thought I would show some of my Christmas decor in the kitchen.

With having a very tiny house I tried to get a festive look for this small space.

Remember these sweet little birds I got at Target last year.  Love these little birds.   Target had some really cute ones for this year too but I resisted and stayed with just these.

I just love these sweet birds and how they are dressed for winter.

I have them on one of my shelves in the kitchen.

I added some little fairy lights to have them shine at night.

This is my kitchen tree with the lights on.  I did a snowflake kisses theme on this tree.

Here is my tree without the lights on during the day in the kitchen.

Even with my girls grown and out of the house I still get out my elf on the shelf.  He is sitting in my kitchen Christmas tree keeping an eye on little Buddy and Terry now!!!!

This was my Elf at my Girlfriend Christmas Party waiting for the naughty girls to come and take a kiss!!!

This is my watering can all done up with Christmas and winter flowers on my kitchen island.

My sweet kitchen cherub.  No facial changes with this cherub like the outside garden one!

I put up a half wreath on the back door and underneath a wooden tree with greens and a cute bell.

My small house sign and below it is a Christmas wreath and Buddy's stocking.

Hope you liked the tour of my kitchen Christmas decor.  With decorating in a small space I have to live with "less is more".

Hope you all are having lots of fun as we head on down to Christmas.
I baked yesterday all day.  Got 5 kinds of cookies baked.  The house smelled so good.

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Kris

  6. Love the tree in your kitchen and those birds are way too cute! I remember seeing them at Target last year - I should've snagged some! I saw the new ones at Target this year and didn't like them as well, so I passed.

  9. Good MORNING!!! As I scroll to see your fabulous decorations, I've got my lights twinkling in the early morning darkness. Kris, your kitchen is stunning and that chandelier, I LOVE IT. Those birds, how adorable are they; they are truly bundled up for a midwest winter, aren't they! LOL!!!!!!!

  10. Kris, I love your tiny house. The framed phrase by the door says it all! I didn't realize it's the same size as the house my daughter is selling, which was mine as a young married for almost 30 yrs, and my dad's (a rental) before that. I love the kitchen shelf with the birds and their stockings. I think that's my favorite of your vignettes. Have a great weekend.

  13. I could live very comfortably in your tiny house. And only you could find a way to have two Christmas Trees and not look crowded in a tiny house. Your kitchen is lovely! Love your stocking sign! Not a cookie has been baked nor the shopping finished over here...next week (finger's crossed).

  14. Little Buddy's stocking is so cute! Yes, it is trying to find room to decorate for the holidays in a small home, but as you know, it is doable. You've done a fantastic job!

  15. It looks enchanting Kris! I would like your opinion on fake greens versus real. I live in a small house and storing Christmas decor is tough. Do you use any real and if so how do you keep them alive. If not, where do you store all your Christmas items? Thank for your help. xoxoxo

    1. Hi Betty,
I have always had the artificial trees. I could never start my early decor if I had real and the new artificial trees are so real looking and now they even feel like real trees. They make them now where they break down and do not take up a lot of space. I have a storage room in the basement that I keep my tree and Christmas decor. You can even get these things call scentcicles that you hang in the tree and then your artificial tree smells like a real tree. Hope this helps. Have a great weekend Betty and thanks for your visit.
      Hugs,
      Kris

  16. Ooh I love your kitchen Christmas decorations. The sun flooding in really looks wonderful! The tree is so cute- love the theme! I love the “Love Grows Best” picture and the cute stocking for Buddy! My best friend growing up was a boy we called Buddy! I’ve always held that name special in my heart. ❤️ Big hugs, Liz

  17. Such sweet decorations! Your snowflake kisses tree is beautiful! Better watch that elf! You never know what he's up to! I picked up a set of those adorable birds the other day! Target is a bit of a distance so we rarely go. They wouldn't ship them last year and I was so disappointed! We went the other day and I checked out the dollar spot and all the Christmas decor and was happy to see the little guys! We're getting everything decorated, slowly. Shannon has been working diligently on the outside in between rainy days. It's looking great! Begunning to make progress on the inside as well. I just love all the lights and sparklies! Glad you had time to bake cookies. There's just something special about Christmas cookies! Enjoy these festive days! Love and hugs!👼💗

  18. Your "less" is really quite a bit! It's all darling and cheery and fun and festive.. love the touches of green and the red elf on the tree! Just so pretty and I bet it's just magical at night. You are way way way ahead of me. I have not one decoration up or the tree... have done a little shopping and that's about it. Haven't even started my Christmas cards that I usually make every year. So is fun looking at your wonderful cottage! hugs....

  20. Just beautiful, Kris! I love all of your charming and playful touches! Your tree is so pretty. I have a tree in my kitchen, too...it's very simple, but it makes me smile...especially with the lights on at night. We baked last night. Vegan cookies and vegan cakes for my vegan kids. They were surprisingly good, although, I don't think I could ever give up butter!! Ha! Hugs!

  21. It looks beautiful, Kris! I did break down and bought two more birds. They are so cute. Love the ones you sent me - one set lives at the farm and the other at the city. I need to get started baking. This next week will be a lot less busy so will do it then. Thanks for sharing all your pretties!

  23. Everything looks beautiful at your house and I bet it's magically white outside too.

Every time I visit your blog I smile and think about your influence over my style. If you see my new header, it is almost all white and that's because of you.

  27. Your home always looks absolutely perfect, Kris - and the sunshine is magical!!! How's Buddy doing these days? All settled in, I hope? xo

  28. Oh how I love your Love grows best in small houses sign! And I love the white wood Christmas tree stand on your kitchen tree! Did Terry make that?

You baked 5 kinds of cookies in one day! That just shows that your beautiful kitchen is not just for looks, it is a cook's kitchen, or a baker's kitchen. I bet you even had a pretty apron on while cooking. And you had those darling birds to keep you company. I love them!

Any snow there? I wondered if sun on snow was giving you such marvelous light for these photos.

A kiss to Buddy! I hope Santa is very good to him,
    Dewena

  30. I love that wreath with the black and white ribbon! Your Christmas kitchen is one of my favorites! Love that Buddy has his own stocking too. So sweet! I haven't started my baking yet. I'm trying to narrow my list of cookies down to just a few and it's hard, lol! I think I'll make chocolate pixies, cherry chocolate kisses, snickerdoodles and pretzel hugs. I bet your kitchen smelled wonderful when all that baking was going on! Yum!
