Corbels and Window Treatment

Good Monday Morning Sweet Friends.
Found a sweet little treasure this past weekend that I think I might use to finally get my kitchen window finished up.

I found these think chippy corbels at the Vintage Market this past weekend.  I love that they are thin and not bulky like most corbels.

My kitchen window looks out to the front of the house and I have that little bit of wall above the window.  I have been trying to figure out what would work best to finish up this window.

With the corbels being thin I think I will be able to work with them on this window.  Hope to have this done in the next few days to show you the final look.

It is a cloudy winter day here in Illinois.  Warming up temperatures which is great.  Just need to have that sunshine come out soon.
Maybe then I can capture pictures just a wee bit better with some sunshine.

Have a good week.
Hugs,
Kris

  6. Kris, A little warm up is going to feel like a heat wave. :) I like those little corbels. Sometimes if you have a band saw you can cut the thicker ones in half. I can not wait to see your clever ideas. Blessings to you sweet girl, xoxo, Susie

  11. I do hope this is your "forever" house because every time you take the time and effort and DIY knowledge to fix one completely up, you've had to move. And I really love this little cottage of yours. It's, to me, the best one yet. I can't wait to see it with spring flowers and that little picket fence! Like me, you pour every bit of love and devotion into your home.
