Only Time

I felt this beautiful song by Enya was most appropriate to listen  and calm your mind and heart.  Since we are all wondering where the road is going to take us.  Please play the song as you scroll through the post.

I thought I would share some of my family pics with all of you today.  This is a time when I am concentrating on my blessings and why I need to stay hopeful and positive.

As my sign says we built a life we love.  We all need to focus on what our lives mean and what we have created to continue to have hope for peace, calm and more love in our world.

Terry and I starting out our journey September 12, 1981

Our first blessings on our journey.  My two daughters Jennifer and Kimmie.

Jennifer married the love of her life and they started their journey.

Along their journey they created a family and gave me two beautiful grand girls.  Blessings abundent.

Abby 10 years old and Charlotte 4.
Charlotte soon to be 4 at the end of this month.

Their three dogs.  Bruce the great dane age 6 and Maggie the Boston age 1 and Frank the yellow lab 7 years old.

Jen's husband Tim is a first responder like my husband Terry.

As Terry is winding down his journey in the fire service,  I look back at the 40 years he has put into the fire department.   All the contributions he had made in the community.

I love these girls.  I am truly blessed with two beautiful daughters and two beautiful granddaughters.  I am holding out for more grands down the road from Kimmie.

My youngest daughter Kimmie and her boyfriend Eddie with her dachshund Snickers and Eddies sweet girl June.

Kimmie's sweet girl Snickers.

Our sweet rescue basset hound Cooper that we lost a few years ago to cancer.  RIP sweet boy.

Our rescue dachshund little Buddy.

We have been blessed on our life's journey.  Even though some days it feels the world is ending with a deadly virus and social unrest we have to hold onto hope that all our hard work to carve out a life will continue with many more blessings throughout our journey.

On another sweet note.  My archway climbing roses are climbing and opening up.  Yay!
Happy Friday.

  6. My dear friend, I am so blessed to know you, write to you, have heard your smooth and friendly voice....to see your blessings. What gorgeous EYES YOU BOTH HAVE OMG....

The music is so appropriate; when I write a blog post, I allow the music to lead me...I bet this song led you to pull out all these fabulous photos. I love the black and white you chose to suggest a passage of time that bleeds out the colors of the moment but gives texture to our memories. Beautifully done and BLESS YOU!

  26. Oh, Kris, you have built a life to be very proud of. What a handsome family, furry and otherwise. I love seeing this post because sometimes it is easy to lose track of all our blessings when we are in the midst of everything else. We will have hard times at different parts of our lives, but we can be so hopeful when we think of our blessings. Here is to keeping the hopes alive..Stay well my good friend..xxoJudy

  30. Kris, you just had to make me cry didn't you? That song sure brought back memories.. and tears for the unrest in our nation.... you are truly blessed with the love that surrounds you.. and what your hubby said.... sounds SO true.. that YOU are the glue that holds it all together... each of your children and grands reflect the love in their eyes that you and Terry have given them. What a touching post.. and I pray, like ChiChiMum for peace for our nation and the world, and that the evil BE GONE. she couldn't have said it better. There is much evil out there and I pray every day that it be extinguished. Kudos again to Terry and your son-in-law for putting themselves out there to protect others. Your photo story is beautiful with the black and white photos, and the song that accompanied it so perfectly. Love to you and yours... Marilyn
