What to do with an old Armoire!

I recently found an armoire on FB Marketplace for free.  Yep FREE!!!
I have no business getting a big ole' armoire even if the price is right at FREE!

I could not resist and I had all kinds of thoughts swirling through my mind of what I might re love this armoire into for this tiny house.
Another reason why I should not have gotten a large armoire I live in a tiny house!!!

When I showed Terry the armoire I "purchased" for free he gave me the look and said where is that going to go?
Exactly I said to him that was my question to myself as well!
Then I began to tell him I have a plan for this old beautiful hunk of wood cabinet.  Again I got the look.

I think he words were " You really mean you have a plan for me with this hunk of wood?"  Don't you love when they are getting your drift lol!!

Then I reminded him about all his lovely tools he holds so dear and near to his heart and smiles when he gets to use them.
Ha!!! I had him there!!!

This is a picture of the lovely beast of an armoire.
I loved the beautiful base and crown molding on this armoire.
I am using her pics from her selling ad.   You really cannot see the pattern of the detail but it was grapes and leaves.  While it looks pretty from a distance in this picture up close not so much.
That will be amended during the re love.

This is the armoire open.  The lady that gave this away used it for a computer station.  I have a bigger dream for this piece.
Stay tuned.  We are working on this big ole' hunk of furniture as I write this post.  Hoping soon to show you how it is re loved with new purpose and beauty.
Have a great week ahead.

PS:  I want to thank all of you for your continued prayers for my mom.  We see her doctor and the pulmonologist on Tuesday and we hope the tests will be back with answers.  I believe in the power of prayer and I appreciate each of you for sharing your caring hearts in prayer for my mom.

  20. Omygoodness, you gave me such a chuckle this morning. I thought you were listening to conversations between my hubby and I. I read it to him over coffee this morning. So we were both laughing. We have had many of these exact conversations over the last 41 years. Thank goodness my man loves all his wonderful tools too. Lol. His most dreaded phase to hear come out of my mouth is. "Honey. I was thinking..." lol. We are so blessed to have men who love to please us. Tell Terry it could be worse. We are getting ready to purchase a repo, so lots of these conversations to come in our home again soon. Lol

  25. Kris, I hope the doctor appointments today give you good news for your mother. I know it must be such a blessing for her to have you there with her for all of this. I've had the opportunity the past two months to have our daughter around and we've had so many good talks and time in the kitchen together. After moving back nearer family than Montana was, they're now moving back to Florida and I miss her so much.

The lines of the armoire are lovely and I know it will become beautiful in your and Terry's hands!

  29. My dear and probably only blogger friend left! Thank you for coming to listen to my ultimate favorite song: Clair de Lune. This piece truly spoke to my feet as a three year old who knew she wanted to dance and to this now 62 year old's fingers as I re-explore my harp, hoping to dedicate my time to honor my father. Thank you for visiting.
