New Farmhouse Window Treatments

I found some pretty DKNY button top sheers at Home Goods so I hung those and put up bamboo shades from Home Goods.  Since they had the size of the bamboo shade to fit my windows they were in stock and not expensive since they did not have to be custom made.

I found this beautiful patina on this dresser yesterday.  I just knew it would be perfect in my new farmhouse decor.

The bamboo shades add some texture and color in my farmhouse look.  This is a recliner we had stored at my daughters from years ago.  I thought it would look better than his darker recliner we had in the last house.

I love these beautiful windows in this condo and did not want to cover them up.  I knew they needed some kind of framing.  I think this was the perfect solution.  Sheers and the bamboo cordless shades.  With being in the third floor no one can see in so I really did not need anything on the windows but I thought this look would just frame them out nicely.

I am waiting on my new kitchen cabinet doors to come in so we can finish up the kitchen next.  I am still pulling together things and we have just a few more projects to finish up.
I like the new whites and natural woods and textured pieces to the decor.

We are loving how quiet this place is and how pretty the views are out our windows.  Buddy is adjusting nicely to going for walks.
It has been hot here like August weather hot and humid.  Hoping some rain moves in soon to cool things down.

Have a great week.  Hope to have more to show you soon.
xoxo
Kris

  8. I am a little confused...where is your office? Is it in another room? I thought it was in the living room. Perhaps I am mistaken. Did you get rid of the plantation shutters...I hope not. Has your plumbing issue been resolved? And last, but not least, and perhaps it is the angle of your camera, if you are on the third floor, why do I see a street and another home? Your previous photos just showed trees outside your windows.

    1. The plantation shutters are in our bedroom and my desk is in the alcove in our bedroom. We are on the top floor of the old mansion so we see out to the high trees. Very pretty. The trees are outside of our bedroom window where my desk is.

  28. Hi Kris. I think I missed something. Why did you move sweetie? Your little cottage was adorable. I hope all is well and it wasn't due to ill health. I love your new place but wondering why the move? You know us nurses, our minds always go to health matters. I pray you both are well.😘
