Kitchen Cabinet Make Over

Happy St. Patrick's Day.
We took down this cabinet in my kitchen.

The tiles you see below where we took down the cabinet  is made of plastic sheets we found at the hardware store.

We added them to fill in the space on the wall.  Easy Peasy.  You can cut them with scissors or a good straight knife to fit.  They wash beautifully and look like real tiles.  Terry hung some crown under the soffit to finish the space a little better.

This is where we are at with the cabinet coming down.  Will be using those cool corbels and chippy shelves in this space soon.

I am hoping to get the new shelves up this weekend and finish up a few other areas in the kitchen.  Then will post the whole kitchen up dates for you to see.  You all know how one thing leads to another when you start a project.

Happy St. Patrick's Day.  Remember to wear green so those tricky leprechauns won't pinch you today.
Hugs
Kris

  4. Open shelving will look so pretty in that space! Some day - hopefully in the very near future - my kitchen will start getting a makeover. As you know, a lot of it depends on when Clementine crosses the Rainbow Bridge. With her being old and sick right now, we can't have workers or loud noises in the house.

Great idea...great inspiration as I just hired out a redo with quartz countertops...and still deciding the backsplash or not any...took quartz up behind the range but regretting not that whole side wall.
