Kitchen shelves switch a roo

This is where it all began.  This cabinet was coming down.

Then we had this YIKES!

I had these chippy fabulous corbels for open shelves.

I liked the open shelves but it just was not quite what  I had in mind.

So we moved the corbels and shelves over the stove.

I like them better over the stove.

Now where the open shelves use to be I hung this salvage piece with hangers.

Now I think I like the openers with the shelves moved over by the stove area.

Sometimes it takes me a few tries to get it just the way I want it.

One thing I know for sure is one DIY always leads to another!

Hope you all had a great Easter.
Have a great week ahead.
Hugs,
Kris

  3. That's what always scares Trip with DIY because, yes, one DIY always leads to about twenty more around here! I love what you did with the shelves over the stove and the salvage pice with hooks to the right of your sink. Everything looks so great, Kris! Happy belated Easter!

  6. The shelves over the stove look great! But what happens when you cook, how do you keep the cooking "gunk"/grease that comes off the pots and pans from cooking, off the shelves?

  8. Hi Kris! OH good, then I'm not the only one who tries one thing then has to analyze it, live with it then change it! I do like our shelves above the stove. Everything looks crisp and bright for SPRING!

  9. I like it, too, Kris. I think it makes the area around the sink/fridge look much more open and expands the area visually. Of course, taking that cabinet down was genius to begin with. Now...what's next? lol. I know you are on to some other project already!

  10. I love the new look, Kris!! Those shelves look fabulous over the stove and I love all the silver accents you've added. They really make your shiny appliances pop and the wallpaper stand out. The room is amazing...and now think of all the fun accessory shopping you can do each season, to fill those new spaces with new decor! Hahaha!! xxoo

  12. Kris, the shelves are perfect over the stove! It is not unusual to have to adapt when things just don’t seem right. The switch is amazing. I hope you are enjoying some spring weather!
