Re Love Crib into French Daybed

I found this antique crib/daybed on FB Marketplace.

The lady on FB had it dressed up as a daybed.  I have wanted one of these to make into a garden daybed for a long time.  Just never had the space.  Travel along the next inspiration pictures I found on Pinterest and then see what I did with the above vintage crib for my house.

I like the scroll top but I wanted something less tall for sides and a little less fufu.  So Terry and his handy tools removed the tops on each side.

Here is what I did with the one I got on FB.   Where the wholes were after cutting off the top part of the crib I found some old knobs to put in there.

They add to the vintage vibe I wanted.

It is still a work in progress.  I have a few pieces left from where Terry cut down the top of the sides.  I am going to experiment with stain and also just steel wool to see if I can get a more antique look.  It is chippy now but I want to see if I like the antique finish better.
If I change it I will show you what I did to get the antique look.

Have a great week.
Hugs,
Kris

    1. It's actually very comfortable. I guess it is good you do not like the styles on my blog because you find fault with everything. Not sure why you keep coming back here if you do not like this style, colors or ideas. Have a great week.
