Christmas Card Display Ideas

I wanted to show you some creative ways to display Christmas Cards and then I will show you what I am doing to display mine.
These next few pictures of ideas are from
Pinterest.

Also I had to open this post with the box of dachshund Christmas Cards.  This sweet doxie looks just like my grand dog Snickers.

This is so clever and pretty for the book lovers.

Cute way to decorate your cabinets.  Simple ribbon attached to the inside of the cabinet and then she hung the cards with clothes pins.

I decided as the Christmas cards have begun to appear in my mailbox,   I would use them as ornaments on one of my trees.  Christmas cards by mail are becoming a thing of the past.  With the cost of mailing and the time to write,  I felt the ones I am receiving should be displayed in a special place.

As you can see in some of my pictures the gifts are wrapped and ready under the tree for Christmas.
With the temps in the single
digits with wind chill below zero it is a good day to bake.

I will be staying cozy and warm inside.  Terry will watch his Chicago Bears play and I will be baking.

As we slide on down into Christmas I hope all of you are enjoying every minute.
This time of year goes so fast.
Hugs,
Kris

  5. Those little dachshund cards are adorable! I love your idea of using the cards as ornaments. That way you get to see and enjoy them. I have a small bicycle wheel that would make a cute holder. I think I will get it out and clip my cards to it! We used to send out and receive so many cards. Now it’s just a small amount so I’m grateful for the ones I get. Stay warm!
    Merry Christmas!

  8. Such wonderful ways of displaying Christmas cards - thanks for sharing Kris! I love what you are doing with yours! It's true that Christmas cards are not being sent by many people this year, the postage here is now very expensive. I must admit that I still love to receive them myself. Enjoy your baking and staying warm. Gilly (UK)

  9. Yes, I still send out Christmas cards, but my list is shorter. I still have a few relatives in France, Austria and Holland.
    These are great ideas, Kris.
Boy oh boy it got so cold this week-end and we are finally easing up this week.
I love these ideas for displaying the cards!!! Our house still has a few areas of boxes, and messy, but I have been perching them on top of my china cabinet.
No more blinds for me! in our old house we had white wood blinds and I could set the cards in there. cute but messy. I love the ideas you shared!

  10. Hi, I love your idea to put the cards on the tree. I still send out cards, but you are right, the cost of stamps is making it more difficult for people to do.
I do hope the tradition stays with us, I will keep sending them. ;-)

  11. What a great idea to put the Christmas cards on your tree. The tree looks so pretty with the cards and presents. We had a few inches of snow yesterday and now it's very cold and icy out. It's a nice touch for Christmas but I'm hoping it warms up and the snow melts. Have fun baking and stay warm Kris.

  12. Great ideas. I've done the ribbon hanging before. I usually tape my to cards to the back of my front door. Adds a decorative touch and some festivity to the room. I don't receive as many either, but love every one. I really enjoy sending out cards and usually make most of them. Enjoy the baking,!! Marilyn @ Pink Paper Cottage

  14. Cute ideas, Kris - including yours! I have mine displayed in a vintage brass letter holder. I remember as a kid, my mom taping every Christmas card to the back of our front door. I used to love to look at them. You are right - there were so many more cards exchanged "back in the day". Now with the internet plus the cost of postage, one is lucky to get a handful of real cards. I still love them!

  15. We received a grand total of two cards so far this year. And, I sent last year a bunch. On the other hand my Barbie group sent 18...and I hope to display in my shop if it ever gets clean enough. Great ideas, but I almost think cards are extinct...at this point, but HAPPY Holidays to You and Yours, Sandi
