Shiplap Done Easy and inexpensively and Dining Room New Wall Decor

 

This was my dining room wall where I put up the old white fence to create a garden decor theme.  Well..... it did not sit right with me.  Sometimes it takes me a few times to get it right.
Pretty yes but putting a garden fence on the wall up high just did not seem right.

Over the wallpaper went the shiplap panels.  Where the lines were matching up the panels we used spackle and lightly sanded and then painted the shiplap.  This was there was no scraping and tearing down wallpaper.

I kept the wallpaper on this back dining room wall.  It runs across the dining room into the back of the kitchen area.  With the large window and sliding glass door at the back of the kitchen this paper was good to stay up and not too overbearing.  Gives a little bit of a pattern.

This was so easy peasy.  Terry cut the panels to fit the wall and then we spackled and lightly sanded and painted the shiplap.
It gave a nice clean look to the walls.

It looks much bigger and brighter.

I decorated this old vintage shelf with some garden decor and books.

I like this look on my dining room wall so much better.  Makes the room fill with light and feel bright and pretty.

This is an up close look at the nickel gap shiplap on the panels.  This was easy and cheaper to do than buying expensive ship lap panels.

We put it up on this wall and the wall over our sectional.
