What A Little Paint Can Do

Hello Everyone.
Hope you are staying in and safe and finding things to do inside.
The weather is breaking a little bit here in Illinois so I have been able to get out for walks with Buddy.
Love that fresh air.  I feel less cooped up.

Fire office space makeover

Here is Terry's desk and shelves before and after a little paint.  It is amazing what paint can do to make a piece look nicer.

This is his desk and shelves before paint.  The desk I got at Target awhile ago.
It just never felt right in this room in the light wood color and the shelves while hard to see in the picture are a dark red cherry color.

We picked out the color Cracked Pepper from Behr.

It is a dark gray.

You can see the picture of the wood more clearly here.

This is after it was painted.

I felt like the paint gave it a more finished look with the gray walls and white trim in the office area.
The darker gray desk looks better now with all his fire department decor.

The shelves got a coat of the paint so it would match up with Terry's desk.

Much nicer look.

Love what a little paint can do.

Terry is not fussy and likes things open and not cluttered.
He likes his new painted desk and shelves.

  20. Oh so pretty Kris! Love that deep gray and blends so nicely with all of his firemen things. I love the pieces above the desk that look like the flag with the fire axe. As one gal said, nice job of blending two different styles in one room! Your paint job looks so smooth and nice. Please give us a tutorial on how to paint wood like that! Marilyn
