Spring Bunnies and Sunshine

Love to see this sunshine stream in the house the last few days.  It makes confinement at home feel better.

I have been putting out some little areas of Spring decor.

When I was cleaning out a closet I found these sweet little black and white bunnies.  I found these cute black and white carrots in the $3 bin at Target awhile ago.

Sometimes it is the unexpected surprise that can make your day.  When I got back from walking Buddy yesterday I found these beautiful flowers in my door.

A sweet friend of mine surprised me with these and left them with a beautiful card.  It is these little acts of kindness that can help during this very scary, anxious and time of isolation like this that helps keep hope alive.

Thank you sweet friend.  This was an unexpected surprise that made my day.

What are you doing to make the isolation from human contact bearable.
I miss my family so much.  Facetime helps but it is not the same as contact hugs and kisses.

This too shall pass and it is not forever so I hold on to that.

Have a good weekend.  If the weather is good Terry and I are going to start to paint the She Shed.  Woo Hoo that will be fun and exciting.
Big Virtual Hugs,
Kris

  11. Good morning my friend.

What a wonderful surprise to get a bouquet of spring on you door!

How welcoming your blue and white room is; though I have my yellow pillows out with a touch of blue, I still have a few winter items out such as my white fur throws. I think that this weekend, which will hopefully be school-free, I am going to put winter away and open up my spaces for a full spring blowout of JOY.

    LOVE THOSE BUNNIES!

  12. Your home is beautiful, Kris. Cute pairing of bunnies with the carrots. How sweet of your friend to drop the flowers. Last night I heard a newscaster say we're one day closer to seeing an end to this. That's a positive slant. I wish more newscasters would follow. Have fun painting the she shed! That's exciting!

  13. Yay for sunshine and sweet friends who leave happy little pick me ups! Love your black and white bunnies and carrots - so cute!
Hope you get lots of sunny days to get your shed painted. I've been busy outside working in my flowerbeds before it gets too hot to do much. It's an overwhelming task - lots of weeds and stuff that has to be cut down and dug out but one spot at a time! It will be fun to watch them transform. I'm glad to have projects to keep me busy. Feel for those living in apartments.
    Hugs, Cecilia

  15. Yes, Kris the sun does help to make our homes look nice. I love how bright and cheery you house looks. How nice and thoughtful to receive the flowers to bring you happiness. I like your little touches of spring and easter in your house. Question? Is Buddy a dachshund? He is just an adorable dog. Have a nice weekend.

  16. Love that shade of blue! In biblical times, parts of a certain snail was used to dye the threads used to make the tzitzit at the corners of the tallit or prayer shawl. It is very similar to what you have in your home. Enjoy your weekend. Ours will be a rainy one but warm. xoxo

  25. Kris, I love all the fresh touches you've added to your home. You really have made this new cottage your own! Beautiful! It's a challenge right now to live life normally, but we all are trying. A good time to use our creativity. Take care, my friend! (Btw, my blog address has changed. Follow the link to my Blogger profile to find me (I dumped the domain name).

  27. I have been following your blog for a couple years now & I usually never comment but I felt like maybe it was time to come out of the shadows. LOL!!! I have found so much inspiration on your pages. I just redid my living room & kitchen. We had a doorway between the kitchen & living room taken out to make it more open. Put in new flooring. Painted all the walls & ceiling & put in new trim. We did this all between Thanksgiving & Christmas. Any way, I just wanted to say that I looked to you for ideas about paint color & curtains. You are so very talented. Thank you for your blog. Stay safe & healthy!!

  28. Oh, what a beautiful bouquet from your friend! How sweet! Is there anything that lifts up our spirits more than fresh flowers, especially when they are a gift? Your cottage is just so charming, Kris. I love all the spring touches. Right now I'd love to curl up on that sofa and have a girl talk with you! Consider yourself virtually hugged, my friend. Nancy
