Shabby Chic Headboard

Hello sweet friends.  Happy Friday.

I showed you this big beast I bought on FB Marketplace.
It got cleaned up and a couple of coats of white paint.

On the hunt for new bedding with some pattern and color.  When I get that I will share with all of you.  Our bedrooms are our sanctuary and I like mine to be comfy and light.
Keeping it real with my little Buddy.  He likes to take his blanket and nest in it.
Happy Friday.
Have a great weekend.

  1. Darling friend. You know how to take an unwanted piece and recycle it, whirl your magic over it and VOILÀ! You are left with a treasure. That is a fabulous headboard that leaves you with a sense of style without a footboard that could take up space in your room. Again, a brilliant move. Enjoy. And I see Mr. Buddy really knows how to nest up and enjoy the moment!

    1. Hi Kris. I purchased it from a French Market Place store near me with different vendors but I have seen this same type of picture at Home Goods. Hope that helps. This was really a pretty one. Hope you can find one for yourself. xoxo Kris

  15. That's beautiful! Well done! Of course your model is the best thing of all! I have to keep the hassock pushed away from my bed since we found out that James Mason has IVDD and isn't allowed to jump anymore. BreeBree chooses to stay in the floor nest with him now after a few minutes of visiting me in bed. Probably for the best but I miss snuggling with them.

  16. Beautiful transformation! You make it all look so easy! Could you give us a quick little "tutorial" and how you cleaned it up (did you sand it?) and what type of paint you use? It looks so nice and creamy and such good coverage. Do you use a primer first? I would love to paint something but don't know where to start! Hugs.. Marilyn
