Sweet Vintage Shopping

We have returned from our trip to Franklin and Nashville Indiana.
It was a fun trip and lots of great shopping and places to eat.
I took some pics of some of the shops and some inside pics of the shops.

On our way home we passed through Tipton Indiana where they have one of my favorite shops.  Hortons Garden and Gift Shop.  They have the most beautiful flowers and plants and the inside of the store if full of beautiful gifts and clothing.  They mix vintage pieces in with what they are selling in this shop.

Hortons is known for their delicious fudge and candy.

With Mother's Day approaching most of the shops had lots of cute gift ideas.

Terry and I love to eat in the privately and unique owned restaurants in the area.
The blue cactus had the best Mexican food and unique margaritas.

This was an old library in Carmel that has been converted to a restaurant.  Oh my gosh some of the best food.  I highly recommend this place if you are ever in Carmel.

This is an old mansion that was converted to a hotel and it is now a unique restaurant.  Known for their wonderful burgers and wings.
So yummy.

They also had outdoor seating when the weather is nice.

In Nashville Indiana they have a well known bourbon distillery.  My son in laws are big bourbon drinkers so we stop here.  They have tours of the distillery, taste testing and a fabulous restaurant.  The food was absolutely delicious.
We picked up a few bourbon faves to bring back with us for our SILs.

I found these cute painted wood suitcases and the wonderful Gift of Home book.

This is one of the many great smelling candles I purchased.  It is a fresh lilac smell that is heavenly.  In our last house we had lilac trees outside our bedroom window and this candle brings back memories of those wonderful smells coming in the open windows in the summer months.

There were so many cute little farm towns which were great to discover.
Lots of state parks and hiking areas too.

If you are ever in the area of Indianapolis make a visit to these little towns.
Lots of things to do.  Yummy and unique restaurants and cute shops.

Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Kris
